Allan Glenn, known to the internet as "Winace", died this morning. Allan had been suffering from cystic fibrosis and desperately needed a double-lung transplant that could have very well saved his life.
The Infidel Guy Show, a program on which Allan has appeared in the past, had a memorial program in his honor this evening. I regret receiving the news so late that I was unable to hear the show.
Those of you around the forum may remember the "funny pics" that are often linked directly from Allan's Winace website. He was also the former host of Fundies Say The Darndest Things.
I wish I could have had the opportunity to have met Allan, if not in real life, then on the internet. He had such a wonderful sense of humor. It's a shame to see him go at such a young age.

The "Funny Pics" site was the first one WinAce ever sent me to.
Thanks for posting that one....
You know, he really has a LOT of websites, doesn't he?

I just found out about this myself. He seemed like such a sweet guy.
He made the best of his life.

Allen was definately a damn cool guy.
Give a man fire, and he'll be warm for a day; set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life

I found it...someone had saved it to their harddrive. Thank the powers that be...
This was written before his disease became general knowledge.
Allan, bud, this is for you....

I extended my condolances to the InternetInfidels chatroom I've been frequenting. Most of the people there knew WinAce quite well(even had a link to his website in the topic) and were very saddened to see him go.
I never met the man myself, but I did get the opperutnity to meet him by-proxie as it were. A loss not easily recovered from, to be sure.
appellation: I just read that blog entry.
The loss is immesurable.

Innocence is not a synonym for ignorance. It is knowing the darkest parts of humanity and still believing that the struggle of life, the risk of love are all bargains for the taking.

oh god...
I didn't know him, but I remember visiting his site. He seemed quite bright (and I don't think he was much older than I am).
RIP..
