Since I don't grow up in the church, the one thing that satisfied me most was being able to smoke marijuana again. And actually be able to hang out with my girlfriend alone.
Sorry if this is a repost.

What are some things that you love to do now but are a taboo in the church. Aside from sex.
Since I don't grow up in the church, the one thing that satisfied me most was being able to smoke marijuana again. And actually be able to hang out with my girlfriend alone.

Say, jesus christ or goddammit and not feel bad.
Scientists used to believe that Christians used circular reasoning in their arguments. But with recent improvements in instrumentation they have discovered Christians actually use elliptical reasoning.

POPULAR
Christianity really fucks up our sense of love. Glad that's behind me!

How many homophobic fundamentalist preachers does it take to change a light bulb?
Two. One to change the bulb and the other to suck my dick.
House: "So, you're a faith healer. Or is that a pejorative? Do you prefer something like "divine health management"?"

I can just follow facts where they lead rather than rationalize the fuck out of them until my eyes bleed.
I can use the word "fuck" without looking over my shoulder.
I can accept good and bad things as random chance rather than twisting myself in knots trying to figure out what god is trying to "teach" me.
I can just be myself instead of what other people at church think I should be.
I can write the kind of movies and stories I want to rather than deny myself because I need to use my talents for god.
I can read the kind of stories and watch the kind of movies I want to without worrying whether or not it "glorifies god."
And I'm sure there are more things...

Still working on accepting compliments on how I look, for many reasons, but some of those are throwbacks from the shit put in my head by christianity, how being seen as beautiful causes men to "sin." Fuck a whole lot of that.

I can tell this joke:

Two. One to change the bulb and the other to suck my dick.
Funny as shit! You see, because, it only takes ONE fundy to actually put in the light bulb, and the other one is free to suck Florduh's dick! You see what he did there!? Hahaha.....

I can accept people for who they are rather than marginalize them - i.e.: homosexual people in particular.

Yep, great list, I agree!
I love Eminem's music, swearing now and then, and Tim Burton-esque films that I thought I had to avoid because of dark content. Also, I feel so much less TENSION! Stick out of my butt!
