I don't understand why Muslims are jailed and sentenced for their honor killings in America, but xtian people like this get the equivalent of a "slap on the hand". It disgusts me.
I think the biggest difference is the intent to kill. Christian parents who hold onto the belief that their god can cure all problems genuinely believe that their child will get better if they pray hard enough whereas honor killings are done with malice and fore thought/vengeance because someone (usually a female) did something that shamed the family and thus deserved to die.
