As far as a Xian is concerned, disagreeing with them or refusing to submit == persecution.

And, depending on who you believe about the religion of the early presidents, they have had 44 Christian presidents in a row. (It's probably more like 42, but whatever, the point stands....)

It is amazing that most of the hate filled stuff is tied to religion. Every fight in the middle east--except when we kick people's butts for placing heir country on our oil (snark).

Perhaps you shouldn't be going to church?

why do you put yourself through that? also why do you allow yourself to be part of a hate group if you are against everything it stands for? you are directly supporting this bullshit and putting your name behind it by continuing to be involved in it. That's why I stopped going go church and cut myself off from all religious based groups I was a part of. Because I could no longer stand behind something so evil and abusive.

The nerve of other nations not recognizing our god-given importance as god's chosen ones in the world!

Unfortunately, intolerance is not just a Christian doctrine, it extends to all branches of humanity. The only effective way to fight it is to teach our children acceptance of others different than ourselves, including homosexuality. If Christians want to nit-pick, which they always do, then what is a heterosexual? The definition of homosexuals and heterosexuals were invented by----ready for this?-----the Nazis in WWII in order to distinguish between those who were in a same-sex relationship, because the Nazis were on a campaign to exterminate not just the Jew but homosexuals from their god-given country of Germany (Gott mit uns, was inscribed on the belt buckles of the SS troops). God was with them and their leader was a good Catholic Christian too, sound familiar? The United States hates all things the Nazi party stood for except its hatred and determination to exterminate homosexuals from its god-given country of the United States. God is with us. In God we trust! Siege Heil!

I've never been to a strip mall church. They always appeared weird and cult like to me. I assume they're the result of groups splintering off of bigger churches because of some petty theological disagreements.

Bingo. My wife's family collectively have probably started 5 or 6 different churches out of disagreements, several of them in strip malls.

When you're a minor that lives with parents that force you to go to church, as is the case with Kaiser, you have very little choice in the matter.

I didn't realize that. True, a dependent child can't do much more than wait for independence. I was forced to go to church as a child; three times a week and a "camp meeting" every summer. It WILL come to an end!

Someone has a message from god that disagrees with previous messages from god, and, well, somebody has to preach the truthTM. Several times a month, apparently.

God may be almighty and whatever, but damn if he don't need a refresher in communication skills.

I had no idea. it doesn't put people's age right under their name. I'm sorry he has to be forced to do that. I was a bit more lucky in that after gradeschool we didn't even bother going to mass. and other than forcing me to get confirmed I never had to set foot in a church after that. I got sucked into christianity much later. and I'm probably going to go to hell for it if a hell exists.

Am I right about my bad vibes towards strip mall churches? They appear so depressing and creepy. "Hey guys lets make a church out of the old Blockbuster!"

Tell him you'll go back to his church if he lets you work on your jump shot during the sermon.

Not really malls, strip malls. They're a wonderful monument to American inefficiency.

What's even more bizarre is that I live here and i've never seen one until those pics.

Those strip mall churches look like the most uninviting and depressing places I have ever seen. It kind of takes the idea of a church being a retail, commercial business just like any other business to a whole new level.
