◊ crazyguy123 ◊
I don't quite remember where my inspiration to write this came from, but I've been working on it on and off for a while. I just thought I'd share it. Set up to fail From the beginning of time A scary tale Of why everyone dies Programmed to sin You can never win Just before the torment begins He comes on strong And strings you along BOW DOWN To Jesus Christ the enslaver Who was born in the manger Shackled and chained By the crimson stain That's been there since your birth And takes away your worth He frees you from your chains Only to enslave you again But he's the only one with anything to gain So he pretends to be your friend But he's the one who sold you out The little baby in the manger Didn't come to save the world Only to enslave the world ENSLAVE THE WORLD BOW DOWN To Jesus Christ the enslaver He was sent here by his father A lying, sadistic bastard A false god with a lot to lose Only the gullible will fall for his ruse Bow down To Jesus Christ the enslaver Silent night Unholy night Everything's too calm Nothing feels right BOW DOWN THE ENSLAVER HAS BEEN BORN
ParadoxBlade97
Clever rhyming, and an excellent way to sum up the coming of the "Messiah." Well done!
WaitingInfinity
He frees you from your chains Only to enslave you again But he's the only one with anything to gain So he pretends to be your friend But he's the one who sold you out I like this part a lot, crazyguy123! I really do. I've always thought that there is no true freedom in Christ. Also, God really did sell us out from the beginning by giving us the capacity to sin. Like this quote from The Restaurant at the End of the Universe: "Your God person puts an apple tree in the middle of a garden and says, do what you like guys, oh, but don't eat the apple. Surprise, surprise, they eat it and he leaps out from behind a bush shouting 'Gotcha.' It wouldn't have made any difference if they hadn't eaten it....Because if you're dealing with somebody who has the sort of mentality which likes leaving hats on the pavement with bricks under them you know perfectly well they won't give up. They'll get you in the end."
pawn
That's great crazy guy. I'm imagining it played by old school Sepultura (amazing classic thrash metal band) with Max Cavalera belting out the lyrics.
rach
Nothing feels right. Exactly. Why exactly, do these star wars scenes come to mind, when reflecting on the Jesus empire? Is Jesus, another Anakin? Obi-Wan Kenobi: You have allowed this dark lord to twist your mind, until now, until now you've become the very thing you swore to destroy.Anakin Skywalker: Don't lecture me, Obi-Wan! I see through the lies of the Jedi. I do not fear the dark side as you do. I have brought peace, freedom, justice, and security to my new Empire.Obi-Wan Kenobi: Your new Empire?Anakin Skywalker: Don't make me kill you.Obi-Wan Kenobi: Anakin, my allegiance is to the Republic, to democracy.Anakin Skywalker: If you're not with me, then you're my enemy.Obi-Wan Kenobi: [realizing that Anakin is consumed by evil and there's no reasoning with him anymore] Only a Sith deals in absolutes.[draws his lightsaber]Obi-Wan Kenobi: I will do what I must.Anakin Skywalker: You will try.[draws his lightsaber and confronts Obi-Wan]Anakin Skywalker: You turned her against me!Obi-Wan Kenobi: You have done that yourself.Anakin Skywalker: You will not take her from me!Obi-Wan Kenobi: Your anger and lust for power have already done that.
