Goodbye Jesus

Life And Creation

I was chatting with a person the other day online; we were discussing religion. This man was Islam. I had no problem with that, except that he kept criticizing what I believed. Stating it in some ridiculous manner.  He told me that he could prove that his god existed, I asked him how. His responses were so irrelevant that it was angered me. His first response to me was for me look at my hand, I did so, he told me that that proved that his god existed. I told him that that was in no way relevant to each other. That is as if I looked at my hand, and said that clearly, there is life on the moon. It does not mean anything. His second response was about cows creating milk. Stating that his god must exist, because cows can create milk. He told me that humans tried creating milk, I cut him off there stating that females can in fact, create milk, but he went on about humans trying to create cow's milk. Stating how scientists tried combining grass, water, and enzymes in a fake cow to create milk which resulted in a green sluggish. According to him, that proved that his god existed, because over all, cows must need a god to create milk.

-What is your opinion on what he stated?

-How do you think we life was created?

First, always question the truth of any morontheist claim. Always.

Second, so humans can't (yet?) do something? So what? If I have better math skills than you, does that make me a deity?

So yeah, what he claimed is total morontheist bullshit. Business as usual.

Humans can not create cow's milk with machinery right now, but who knows what will happen in the future.

This is the same as saying humans couldn't fly, couldn't cure diseases, etc. By believing that god created the world as is and accepting every explanation from a holy book, the believers are slowing down scientific progress.

Let us say humans can create bovine milk. How does that support any god hypothesis?

In fact the ability for humans to create organic molecules, molecules of life is what initially pushed humanity to a chemical hypothesis of life. Prior to 1828 the consensus was that life was somehow unique and the molecules of life needed some sort of life essence to be created and to be animate. Then, an extraordinary event occurred. A chemist by the name of Friedrich Wohler was mixing different substances in an attempt to create a molecule known as ammonium cyanate. He inadvertently discovered a different molecule was created during one of his experiments. That molecule (urea) was only known to be created inside living organisms and could not be just a mundane molecule. This was the first documented time that humans were able to create "biological" molecules (quite by accident initially). This was also the event that most people say ushered in the field of organic chemistry.

So, in the process of trying to make another molecule, a human accidentally stumbles across how to make a "biological" molecule. That's an exceptionally solid case for god. Well, maybe an incompetent and incredibly flawed god that struggles at understanding the world around him/her. Of course, that sounds more like a human than a proper god...

Well, according to a few articles that I have seen, scientists have been able to genetically alter cows milk into human milk--- so it us simply a matter of time. Also, isn't soy milk and almond milks a variation of cow milk? Did they need god too?

Hey CC!

I reckon your Muslim friend must be reading this.

Which according to this page... http://iqsoft.co.in/islam/A%20Brief%20Illustrated%20Guide%20To%20Understanding%20Islam.html ...is printed right here in good ole Houston, TX.

Perhaps the most confused and confusing conflabulation of pseudo-scientific disinformation, quote mining, logical fallacies and downright lies my eyes have ever had the misfortune of seeing.  WendyDoh.gif

As an amateur astronomer it pains and saddens me to see this.

Islamic Creationists have no problem claiming that the Orion nebula was made by Allah out of the left over 'smoke' from the universe's very early history.  This is patently false.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orion_Nebula

So mebbe you should ask him if he's an Islamic Creationist, CC?

Thanks,

No, soy milk and almond milk are not variation of cow's milk. Soy milk is made by expressing a mixture of soy and water. Almond milk is made by expressing a mix of almond and water. All three of them are not related at all. They are called milk because they look like milk.

Scientists are trying to mimick human milk from cow's milk, as in the case of baby formula. They are getting closer now however the formula is definitely not the same yet.

Hello Kcops!

The place I was chatting with him was a website called omegle, where is randomly generates someone to talk to. Most likely, I will never see this person again in my entire life.
