Holy shit I wish I hadn't stumbled in here this morning... I went to one too. Oddly enough my parents had me read books on evolution at home but wanted me to learn about creation at school. I can tell you by about 9 what I had decided was a load of crap and didn't pay much attention to after that...I still got a better education being a private school over what I could have gotten at the local public schools so at least it was not all negative. It is also the primary reason I never believed any of this. My parents gave me a choice after presenting me with the "facts" of both sides. Looking back it was strange but it was the same thing that they had been given in youth so I think they felt they owed it to their own children to give them that choice up front before the influences took hold from either side.
