Zentangled Tiles

Recommended Posts

I'm a bit of an eclectic artist, I am always doing something different. The last year or so I've been doing Zentangle and L-O-V-E it. It's a bit of meditation and art all rolled together, and you end up with something beautiful when you're done!

My husband does woodworking, so for Mother's Day presents for my mom and sister-in-laws we took a few of my finished zentangle tiles and mounted them. He created the frames out of walnut and we stained them and applied a few coats of polyurethane to seal/protect them.

This is a set of 4 that can be hung by each other or separately, or they could be used as coasters/trivets.

Those are lovely. I really like the intricate patterns and the black and white contrast. The wood frame sets it off well. looks good.

I have to admit I've never heard of Zentangle or zentangling before. I had to look it up. Very cool.

I think I will give it a try myself. I like to find ways to calm my mind and

I enjoy art and appreciate all the different forms it comes in.

I do coloring sometimes. I like coloring mandalas.

The round Zentangle design you did is like a mandala.

Thanks for sharing.
