He didn't save anyone. At least that's what some rabbis used to say apparently... I first came across this idea in a Hitchens book. Sometimes I think his facts can be a bit off, but it seems he was on the right track here. I did some digging... Usually victims took a few days to die, Jesus seemed to expire so quickly even Pilate was surprised. This God who prays to Himself, sacrifices Himself to appease Himself, intentionally orchestrates events to anger Himself (curses first man and all his descendants so that they will be unable to obey Him and will therefore make Him angry), "conquers death and sin" in such a way that most made in His image are eternally subject to the effect of death and sin... Would you please elaborate further? And quote me so I see it in my notifications. Thanks! Human The idea that God (the Son) was pleading to God( the Father) makes sense if: They are the same being (I and my Father are one) and are basically taking the mick. Christ was not God and therefore the phrase "I and my Father are one" is a lie. God Praying to Himself, to excuse Himself, from the ordeal He had to force Himself to go through is one of the many strange moral mathematics that makes no sense. He had to have sent himself because judgment is at the end of days. So none of this really makes much sense that anyone was anywhere that required judgment. Some sort of limbo really is the best choice until judgment (and I'm not Catholic). Anyhow, he went somewhere via magic and did magical things. That makes perfect sense.
