Discern Posted October 30, 2014 Share Posted October 30, 2014 Thought I'd share this amusing experience. I was serving an elderly customer with a colleague, and my colleague said "Back in a moment". As he walked away, the gentleman looked at me and said, "Hmm... a moment... I asked someone once, 'how long is a moment?'." I smiled and shook my head. He continues: "Hmm..don't know..", he says thoughtfully. "You know, the bible says..." (Suddenly I'm paying attention) "...the bible says, in a MOMENT, in the twinkling of an eye, we shall be with the Lord. That's how quick a moment is. Just the twinkle of an eye. Any longer than that........you're late." I just smiled, then it came to me and I couldn't resist: "Hmm, so is Jesus."
