After many, many posts, I left these boards on terms that I do not even remember, nor do I care to. Whether or not any of you know what user I am referring to is irrelevant to me. I'm not here to step on any toes or to troll anyone as a "sheep in wolves' clothing." I'm back for one purpose and one purpose alone...to engage in intelligent, respectful discussion among those who have walked away from their former faith...because I have no one else in my life who can relate or even begin to understand. So, with that said, I'm glad to be back for a season, though I do not know how long that season will be. I will post some sort of testimony when I get the time to do so. I think quitting religion is a lot like quitting cigarettes for some people: takes an on again, off again situation to make it stick. I think back to the late 90s and ponder that if a site like this had happened, I would have probably full-on deconverted for good in 1997. So no need to feel bad about how things may have been before on here. Many of us are new anyhow. No. Maybe you could state where you currently stand on religion? I consider myself agnostic, possibly leaning towards panentheism or deism, although I am very unsure. My biggest weakness would probably be that I tend to think with my emotions rather than intellect some of the time, which gives the Christian indoctrination of my past a foothold.
