VahnBlue
From a post, in a different thread, I said how I noticed how all the blood sacrificing, makes me think about devil worshipping and how the Christian God and the devil are so interchangeable. Also, on top of that, let's just go along that there really is a God(the one from the bible, to be specific). Now...wouldn't the greatest trick for the Devil to pull be: the wolf in sheeps clothing, in this case, God? To me, that's the greatest trick ever; then the real Christian God is like, "dammit, quit following him; he's an imposter. I want you all to be free to do your own choosing. lol just a random thought

◊ crazyguy123 ◊
Christians aren't actually sure. All they can do is have faith and hope they're right. They might be able to convince themselves that they are certain, through self-deception, but unless they are omniscient, it is impossible to know the truth about their undetectable, mysterious deity. How hilarious would that be though, if they were actually following Satan? Then when we die, the shoe is on the other foot. God is like, "yeah...you have to go to hell" then they all beg, plead, cry, etc. For hypothetical purposes, they would see how unfair it is and that the God they worship, wouldn't be so Just; and this is how we atheists see it. Unfortunately, giving them the hypothetical, they still wouldn't see it from our perspective and make up excuses.

VahnBlue
The Christian God is an altered version of the Old Testament God. There is no "Devil" in the Old Testament and Satan is God's servant. There's also no "Trinity" and Christianity is the type of belief system (with its doctrines) that Yahweh told his people to stay away from. Not that any of these problems stops Christians from imagining they've got the right God. Well we all know that. That wasn't the point of this topic though. Thurisaz
Indeed, with all the omni-everything the morontheists ascribe to their four gods, how would they know that "good 'un" ain't really the "ebil 'un" using its omni-everything to pull off a stunt? Aaaaaah but better not talk about it (if you're a morontheist), someone might accidentally turn on their brain to resolve that and, once that started, note that it's all bullshit anyway

Aaaaaah but better not talk about it (if you're a morontheist), someone might accidentally turn on their brain to resolve that and, once that started, note that it's all bullshit anyway You notice how according to the Pastor and Christians, Satan seems to always be around millions; tempting them, bothering them, and occasionally sending minions to go possess. Seems like the Devil is omnipresent too. That would make him a god lmao Also seeing as how Christians are the only in the world that will go to heaven, while the other 6 billion go to hell -- then Lucifer MUST be all powerful, to able to win over the majority. Hmmm...
Fweethawt
I came to this very, same conclusion a handful of years ago. I could easily picture a big Satan-like being sitting on a throne surrounded by fire holding a golden bible up in the air with a most sinister grin on his face. That was then. Now I'm like, whatevs...
HydeHamlet
I have thought Jesus would be a great plan by Satan to misguide people from God."You know all of the promises God made to you, I'm the fulfillment of them." "I'll ease your burden, you don't have to follow ALL of the laws handed down by God. Just a few of them. Don't worry, he doesn't mind." "Just believe in me, the rest doesn't matter." Super Moderator florduh Posted November 24, 2014 Super Moderator Share Posted November 24, 2014 The God character killed the most people ever. The Satan character would have people not follow that God. People seem to like killing, so their hero is the one who kills the most! Makes perfect sense. themonkeyman
I think sometimes Jesus seams so unnecessary. He told people to worship him and not God when for thousands of years before God said don't follow anyone else but him! Satan's best trick would be to convince the world he is their savior. There's a reason why Jews don't believe in Jesus
