Goodbye Jesus

Your Favourite Atheist Youtubers!

TruthSurge should be on the list (although a lot of his recent videos are irrelevant to the issue of religion, he's got a lot of great videos tackling religion): https://www.youtube.com/user/TruthSurge

Also, one that's not an atheist but should get an honorable mention for his tackling of Bible problems is DeistPaladin: https://www.youtube.com/user/DeistPaladin

Edward Current - satirist, freakin' hilarious

Armoured Skeptic - new, but so far, so good!  (not sure if this was on the list yet)

Generation Xero Films - black atheist, I enjoy this guy - hope he sticks around.

C0ct0pusPrime - a bit lowbrow, but I find him pretty funny at times - he has a huge hate-on for Fox News, so….  biggrin.png

(Greta Christina - but I don't think she has a youtube channel, people just post her speeches, she does have a pretty popular blog)

Pat Condell - though lately he's been taking on some political stuff, and Islam. Some people are uncomfortable with some of his views. His earlier ones of christianity are dead on though.

I'm going to second Christina Rad too.

Dusty was moving to Nebraska… he's been quiet since (?).

Dusty actually moved to Colorado, for what you could call "artistic reasons".

Where did I get Nebraska?  lol… It's not like we hear a lot about Nebraska up her in the Great White North.

Good for him though…  :D

It looks like a lot of my favorites are on here, but there are still a few notable folks worth mentioning:

- The Bible Skeptic: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWz034JI79z5mvFw3c2vZjQ

He's got a lot of great videos usually debunking claims from the bible. He currently is doing a series debunking "The Top Ten Proofs that The Bible is True" and is worth checking out.

- Discern4: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5Zg962-HcjQ9xpW2HGn3Zw

If you're a fan of NonStampCollector, you'll definitely catch the similarities here (even in the accent!). He's got a light-hearted humor which cuts deep into Christian theology. Here are a couple of my favorites of his:

He hasn't been active in awhile but he's just started a new series not too long ago called "Why Jesus Is Not the Messiah", challenging the very claims he once preached long ago.

- NoelPlum99: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzd_MLszn8PYqc5Hq56qtOA

This is the kind of guy you can imagine being good friends with. He gives well-reasoned and balanced video responses as well as thoughts on theism with a touch of humor.

- AntiCitizenX: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIbBCEj2Zrc5KkyzLEQMZCw

This guy is awesome. If there was a definitive counter-apologist out there, to me, this would be him. His videos are thorough and insightful when it comes to philosophy and logic. I am particularly a fan of his ""Philosophical Failures of Christian Apologetics" series. Here is just a taste:

- Ozymandias Ramses II: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmthjMiFTIQnkGyZvfQKBdA

In my opinion, he is one of the most insightful youtubers out there. He's incredibly thoughtful, knowledgeable, and respectful when presenting his thoughts and critiques and knows a thing or two about philosophy (which was his major area of study, particulalry epistomology for some time).

- C0nc0rdance: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPFnHiJx1P9UY05_F9sOu1g

His videos mainly focus on giving well-balanced and researched opinions on topics in science. Occasionally he will have videos regarding religion and he has participated in a few debates online. Definitely worth checking out.

Those are a few I can think of right now.. Might come back with more if I remember any. Go show them some support! :)

Thunderf00t and Cristina Rad should both be on this list.

Thunderf00t should be on the list but with a very serious warning.

His series "Why Do People Laugh at Creationists" gets a very high recommendation from me.  Unfortunately a lot of his recent stuff has been railing at feminists, in a way that (in my opinion, and the opinions of many others) crosses the line into misogyny.  He is an intelligent man with a lot of good content, but he sadly has some very bad positions and ideas, and those come through in a lot of his videos from the last few years.

I agree without exception to the recommendation of Cristina Rad.

Let me also throw in a very enthusiastic recommendation for philhellenes.  If you want an introduction to his work, check out "Science Saved My Soul".

I hadn't really paid much attention to thunderf00t's feminist videos, so you're probably right about that.

Ah yes, how can I forget TheMessianicManic?: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQb22imbIqKKWOC98C8Rm2A

His videos are brief and concise, and get to the core of fallacious theistic claims. Definitely worth checking out!

Jaclyn Glenn, though I can't help feel a little bit awkward when she drew Muhammad as a devil-horned, green teethed, smelly barbarian.

MrRepizon also

I don't watch the Amazing Atheist, he's too hard to stomach.

Darkmatter 2525 is amazing. Funny and each video makes many brilliant points. Thunderf00t's 'why do people laugh at creationists' vids are good but a lot of his latest stuff is all about how he hates feminism.

There we go. The list has been updated with the newest recommendations and the activity levels of the channels checked/updated.

I've also decided to have other categories. So if you have websites/blogs and other youtube channels you like be sure to recommend them. If people like this idea then I shall adjust the title of the topic to better suit our growing list.

I used to view videos of dozens of atheist youtubers, but now that my life is more busy and not believing anymore has become much more normal to me, so I don't need so much input anymore. I do love many of the youtubers mentioned in this thread! :)

However, no one has mentioned the Atheist Voice (by Hemant Mehta) - his videos are short, but are quite inspiring to me and they cover a wide array of topics. I still watch a lot of his videos.

Every now and then I watch the atheist experience. Their show has helped me a lot with my deconversion, I watched it during my last 1-2 christian years. It's a bit of nostalgia.

But now that I see all the names that have been mentioned here I am curious to check them out. Will when I have the time.

There are atheists on youtube that I don't like. I don't like the Amazing Atheist at all, and other ones who have a similar style. Way too angry and disrespectful for my taste.

Mr. Deity -- He's a former Mormon and some of his vids specifically address the Mormon faith. Most of them don't though. I love his stuff. He doesn't post much anymore though due to some issues in his personal life.

I don't have any others to recommend, Most of them have already been mentioned above. Sad daaaaays.
