Popular Post Castiel233
When a Christian cannot get their own way, its a "war on Christianity"..........you'd think that having a "personal" relationship with the creator of the universe would be enough for these Bible clowns, but it isn't. So when they are not allowed to put a 20 foot cross on public land in the US, or they are told not to wear the cross to work in the UK, they whine about persecution........yet no one is stopping them from spending all their free time in prayer, no one is stopping them from giving all their free cash to what ever church their belong to.......hell, they can write "Jesus" on a 10" dildo for all I care and drive it up their arse, and set to its top speed to boot...........This is not about persecution, it merely playing the victim card for tea and sympathy Christians, of course, actually have their war backwards. Its a Christian war on non Christians, and has been fought ever since Jesus got on His magic cloud, and with a merry "YOLT, Bitches", floated off to His magic mansion in the sky....... Christianity, demands conformity......and must make trouble to give itself some thing to push against in an attempt to make itself stronger When a cross gets taken down, they love it, as it gives them something to whine about. To see how full of shit they are, they will protest abortion, protest gays, but never protest weddings when divorcees get re hitched........even thou the latter is a big no-no according to their magic book
Lilith666
"War" is a bit of a strong word. I don't see anyone taking up arms against Christians (unless you count Dylann Roof, and that was actually a racist crime). But I don't see why Christians in the UK shouldn't wear religious jewelry to work--can Muslims wear hijab?
qadeshet
At least they're not burning us at the stake these days. At least, not yet.
Travi
At least they're not burning us at the stake these days. At least, not yet. Oh, I'm sure if the Catholic church brought back its Inquisitors - we would see a lot more of this.
Stamps1962
At least they're not burning us at the stake these days. At least, not yet. Oh, I'm sure if the Catholic church brought back its Inquisitors - we would see a lot more of this. My sister in law is a fanatical fundamentalist Catholic and her Facebook page is full of fire and brimstone about alleged 'Heretics'- basically anyone not sufficiently fanatical about Catholicism like she is. She seems to want to bring back the Inquisition - seriously. We've cut her out of our lives, BTW.
qadeshet
If the Church still have the power, they would still burning us at the stake. I have no doubt of this.
SquareOne
"War" is a bit of a strong word. I don't see anyone taking up arms against Christians (unless you count Dylann Roof, and that was actually a racist crime). But I don't see why Christians in the UK shouldn't wear religious jewelry to work--can Muslims wear hijabs? First, let's not exaggerate. There is no universal restriction on wearing religious jewellery to work. The times when this issue arises is when a company such as an airline has a specific uniform policy that for example bans all jewellery and head accessories, religious or not. For those companies, then the question of reasonable accommodation arises for religious persons. Accommodation can be made in religious jewellery and head-wear if it is a genuine religious requirement to wear them. Therefore, a hijab or a turban can be worn, if it is worn because of a genuinely held religious requirement. When a Christian wants to wear his or her her gold-plated Cross necklace/chain, that tends not to be because of religious requirement. Jesus did not say "thou shalt wear a cross around thy neck". It's either fashion, or sentiment, or at at worst proselytisation.
