I have never really been slow to let others know what I think about something, but when I was Christian I always felt I had to defend God, so I sometimes argued with teachers (de-converted at 14; never experienced being Christian as an adult) about evolution and got offended when they didn't teach the bible as fact. Of course kids are less mature, but it seems that being Fundy makes people feel like they need to be god's warriors, and this clouds their judgment.
