qadeshet
So, after reading this thread a few times I come to the following conclusions: -Some demand physical evidence. -Some would not accept Jesus even if he appeared in person. Did I miss anything? I wouldn't worship any "god" who would allow even one of his children to suffer eternal punishment. Yahweh is the villain of the story. Since he doesn't exist it doesn't matter. Being God, would you ask someone to take his child somewhere and sacrifice him just as a test of his faithfulness? That's crazy.
midniterider
God being offended by a human's actions is like me being offended by a video game NPC.

Yes, you missed the following: -Some will believe solely because of childhood religious indoctrination and peer pressure, They maintain that belief due to the intellectual atrophy, emotional cowardice and fear that those influences had upon the them. Orbit
What would be required to persuade you to become a believer? Why would I believe in nonsense? Nothing short of God himself appearing to me would convince me.
mwc
Pretty much all the major players in the bible get some sort of personal contact from god and are considered the best of the best. Yet xians run around telling everyone that's simply not the way god does things and we should just go ahead and do the opposite since that's even better than those prime examples. That's some crazy shit right there. mwc
