It's also a head's up for those members who know her of old and who haven't realized that she's back again and posting in the, "Defending Hell" thread, here in the Den. To the first group - I will simply list the facts about her and then let you draw your own conclusions. To the second group, I need say nothing. 1. Not long after joining Ex-C, Thumbelina took confidential personal information from another member's testimony out of the Testimony sub-forum, moved it to the Lion's Den and incorporated it in her on-going dialog with that same member. 2. The Moderators ruled that this constituted abuse against this member and to prevent Thumbelina from any further abuses (intentional or unintentional) she was 'confined' to the Lion's Den, where she has remained ever since. This explains why she cannot post to any other sub-forum. 3. Thumbelina claimed that her offense was unintentional, because she didn't know that this action constituted any kind of breach of Ex-c's guidelines. However... ignorance of a law is no excuse, if you break that law. Since 2005 there have been very clear guidelines about the function, status and usage of the Testimony sub-forum. (Please do go and take a look for yourselves.) The first guideline posts by Reach and Loren are addressed specifically to Christians. While they contain no specific ruling warning Christians not to use confidential information elsewhere in Ex-C, the spirit and intention of their message is plain to see and easy to understand. Christians are politely requested to exercise respect and tolerance towards those posting their Testimonies. They are likewise asked to treat the content of these testimonies with similar respect and tolerance. If Thumbelina was aware of these guidelines, but genuinely believed they did not prevent her from using personal information elsewhere in Ex-C, then her actions do not constitute a direct violation of the letter of the guidelines. However, they do constitute a violation of the spirit of the guidelines. If she was unaware of the guidelines, then her ignorance still does not constitute a valid excuse for her actions. Ignorance of the letter or spirit of a law (or a guideline) does not excuse you if you break it. 4. Since her arrival in Ex-Christian.net many members have posed the following question to Thumbelina... "Are you a Seventh Day Adventist?" To this day, she has consistently refused to give an answer. 5. The listed Interest on Thumbelina's profile reads, "I'm attracted to bothering atheist types atm." 6. It's a matter of record that over the years many members have found Thumbelina's conduct towards them to be marked by condescension, arrogance and intolerance. 7. It's also a matter of record that many members have found the content of Thumbelina's dialog with them to be marked by dogmatism, intransigence and legalism. . . . Thank you for your attention.
