Fweethawt
I highly doubt many christians will even bother to read or understand this. But I'm dropping this here anyway... Here's hoping. http://www.patheos.com/blogs/barrierbreaker/howahearthathateschristianityworks/

Fweethawt
That is an amazing article. I agree. And I'd imagine it explains, for many antheists, why they have such anger towards religion but they could never quite put their finger on it. That's exactly what it did for me. It felt like a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders after reading that.
Astreja
I really like the BarrierBreaker channel, and in fact I read the post mentioned in the OP just last night. Peter Mosley has written some truly epic articles in the last 2-3 months.
ironhorse
From the link: "Because — well, let’s be real for a second. We’ve got an average of about 75 years on this planet. And while we’re here, in addition to seeing the wonder of nature, science, love, and the rest, all of us are going to have hard times. I’m of the school that thinks it’s perfectly fine to admit that sometimes life is shitty, painful, hard, or lonely. And when it is, people need to lean on a friend, oftentimes, and when there don’t seem to be real ones available, the temptation is powerful to give in and make one up." I agree with the first part of that statement, I disagree with the "no real ones available" part.

Then please present us with some empirical and objective evidence for this 'real' friend of yours, Ironhorse.
