Fweethawt
I find this to be very "moving"... I don't even know what to say! I understand that I'm looking at an artist's interpretation of what is being observed. But the image coupled with the simplistic explanation of the natural process is just plain awe inspiring. http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2015-11-19/planetary-formation-seen-for-the-first-time-by-astronomers/6951494
bornagainathiest
Thanks for this, Fwee. Back in early 95' we hadn't a clue that other planets orbiting other stars even existed. Now, just twenty short years on, we know about the complete lifecycle of entire solar systems. From their birth (this thread) to their death... http://www.hngn.com/articles/142993/20151022/dwarf-star-eating-planets-nasa-spots-white-consuming-planetary-system.htm (If this link fails, please Google, 'Dwarf Star Eating Planets') Makes me wonder what surprises the next twenty years hold in store for us. Thanks, BAA.
