Yeah, I saw that in today's science news. Of course this is a prediction and not a discovery. But if confirmed it will be a long time IMO before we would send a mission there unless we first developed much better and faster propulsion based upon an accelerating propulsion system.

Jesus may never come back, but by God, Pluto is still planet number nine. I grew up with that knowledge and I'll be damned if I'll let any of you people and your fancy new science "theories" tell me otherwise.

 

A "dwarf planet" by definition is still a planet, and as such, Pluto is number nine. Always has been, always will be.

 

Let's call the new one "Usurper Wannabe"

It seems like the circumstantial evidence for this is pretty good. If Mike Brown is betting on it being likely, then there's a better than decent chance of this thing existing. Hopefully a concerted effort can let us find it in the next few years. I find this all quite exciting!
