What Mark of the Beast?

Thread title is misleading. I'm no fan of Oral Roberts, but lets be fair.

This is what the article says::

"Oral Roberts University said this week that data collected from Fitbit activity trackers would not be used to enforce the Christian school’s ban on pre-marital sex or homosexuality."

So if they see an unusual increase in heart rate at 2:00 a.m., they're not going to ask why?

I don't get why they are using this "Fitbit" thingie in the first place.  You can't get an education there if you aren't healthy enough or something?

That is probably going to happen with all the male students anyway.

I think the only reason anybody in the ORU dorms would be awake and have a faster heart rate at such an ungodly hour as two in the morning would be the ones that are praying out loud.  "Oh God, YESSSS!! I'll do whatever you say! Take me, OH GOD!! YESSSS!!!"  You know, that sort of thing. There might even be some that are speaking with the tongues of angels.

That's the thing about those wacky radical-for-God Christian college students, they are so on fire for God they'll pray whenever the mood hits them.

I know what the article says. And I -- along with just about everyone else on this board -- am/are aware of the massive amounts of societal paranoia that christian's like to stir up whenever any new tech comes out that allows for large groups of people, or even a planet's populace, to be under constant surveillance. Usually, they're against it because it's mark-of - the - beast - like.

And here we have a christian school embracing said tech.

Can they not see they're playing right into the hands of the anti-christ for chrissakes?!?!?

Exactly. No one can graduate unless they have the (digital) mark of the beast, or it's equivalent...

"Mathews said that students could also opt out of the Fitbit program, but they would need to manually record health data by hand."
