Goodbye Jesus

What A Hoax...

The Council of Nicaea taking place in the fourth century AD, culminating in the Nicene creed is a sham.

Just think about it. If all those people who believe in Christianity today were called together to create one document all will adhere to, or one sect everyone will conform to it just won't happen. And this is after the Nicene creed when what to believe was made easy.

Imagine how many diverse views there were before the canonization of the limited Bible as we know it. For example, the Gnostics, a big movement then, believed the God of the Old Testament was some kind of evil god and that the world was made by this evil god, only for the pure God Jesus to be revealed.

Also, during the time of the Nicene meetings there were an abundance of books to be chosen from. Constantine gave an edict for copies of a unified Bible and that is what he obtained.

Would you trust today's Christian leaders to accomplish the mamoth task that was accomplished in the fourth century?

No, I sure wouldn't. Humans are falleable. And yet, because it happened in the fuzzy, far away fourth century, many theologans and believers accept it as the work of God. Note however that most Christians today are ignorant as to the origins of the canon.

It wasn't the work of God. If there is one. It was the work of squabbling extremists and moderates. Hell, before the Nicene Creed some at the conference did not even believe Jesus was divine. It was cemented that he is indeed god after that conference.

What a hoax it all is.

One of my favorite quotes from Thomas Paine's book The Age of Reason

“Be this as it may, they decided by vote which of the books out of the collection they had made, should be the WORD OF GOD, and which should not. They rejected several; they voted others to be doubtful, such as the books called the Apocrypha; and those books which had a majority of votes, were voted to be the word of God. Had they voted otherwise, all the people since calling themselves Christians had believed otherwise; for the belief of the one comes from the vote of the other.”

Let that sink in for a bit.

Yeah... the fact that there's a large body of Apocrypha says a lot. It's so obvious the Bible is a man-made construct, and the Council at Nicaea makes this even more obvious.

Oh come on.  You all know Constantine was inspired by the one and only True GodTM.  Don't you remember the whole "In This Sign, Conquer" story?

I'll go one further. The bible also quotes forged books. Jude 14 quotes Enoch as being the 7th from adam and it goes on to quote the book of enoch. The problem is, the book of enoch was written in 2 bce. Enoch could not have been the 7th from adam and written a book that didn't show up until thousands of years later. So you have the council putting in the book of jude that quotes a forged book and yet convincing their readers that it was actually written by Enoch through the inspiration of god.

The more you study christianity and its origins, the more you will see that it is the work of fallible men, and not an all powerful intelligent god.

Keep up the great work SerenelyBlue. 3.gif
