Castiel233
Today would have been Hitchens birthday, looking back on his life and work, what are your thoughts and how much is he missed by the freethought community
hockeyfan70
Before my deconversion, I thought he had some good points and I appreciated that he was less of a dick about it than Dawkins. Now, I really appreciate his stuff. His book God Is Not Great was the first of the New Atheist books I read, about seven years ago.
TheLyniezian
Being just a recent deconvert of probably less than 6 months, I've never yet bothered to read any of his work or look into it. I still have the lingering thought that all "New Atheists" are Dawkins types and basically a bit jerkish, but don't know how true that is of him personally. I know more of his brother Peter (who is still alive and a believer) than I do of him. I did like Peter but too conservative for me politically, and now I'm not a believer perhaps I should have more time for his brother now...
