Since you're blocking my PM's and since you seem to be ignoring me in the Trust Yourself and the Secular Family Values threads, I thought it best to start this thread to bring this to your attention. Please hop over to the Testimonies of Former Christians sub-forum and take a look at the thread, 'Dead Again : Director of Theological School De-Converts'. You'll see that I greeted Jason in post # 9 and clued him in on there being another New Zealander here. Namely, FreeThinkerNZ. So far, so good. But a few minutes ago I decided to read carefully thru his testimony and was immediately struck by something he wrote (twice) about the nature of God. Here are the relevant sentences. "I wrote a forty page document effectively just blurting out my thoughts and offering arguments as to why God was necessarily evil if he existed at all." "Basically, I have given God every opportunity possible to prove himself. The sad truth is that I was praying to an empty sky. If Yahweh exists at all he is necessarily evil, so I really hope he doesn't [prove himself]..!" . . . Fascinating! (Eyebrow raised, a la Spock) Another case of two members agreeing about something without communicating first about it. I'd skipped over the meat of Jason's testimony when I first greeted him and hadn't noticed that he and I are in agreement. The God of the Bible is necessarily evil. Now, since you aren't talking to me... why not ask Jason why he has come to the same conclusion as me about God's evil nature. This thread would seem to be the perfect place to do so. Or you could simply ask him why he thinks the God of the Bible is necessarily evil? That way you two could talk without me entering into the equation. (Assuming you aren't planning on talking to me any time soon.) Again, this thread would seem to be a good place to do so. I hope this has given you food for thought. Thanks, BAA.
