Trump Closing The Gap With Clinton

Daffodil

Recommended Posts

This is 21 minutes long, but well worth the watch. Basically, the polls are broken down to show that Sanders could easily beat Trump, but Clinton is almost neck-and-neck with Trump. The presenter gets more and more agitated as he describes how blind the democratic pundits are about this. They are convinced that Clinton is a strong candidate, but the presenter demonstrates how wrong they are.

Cenk makes some interesting observations here regarding the email server scandal:

It stretches the imagination that an Obama justice department would indict her in an election year, but maybe the evidence is too onerous and the investigative team too apt to leak if it gets swept under the rug to try and bury it. If I'm honest, I have to admit I'm giddy with the possibility. Not much could be more satisfying than seeing that criminal getting her just deserts, but seeing the election thrown to Sanders would absolutely be more satisfying than even that.

I suspect this FBI investigation into Clinton is going to force her to withdraw from the race, get ready for Biden. The establishment will simply not allow Bernie to have it. He will be fucked in the end. Get ready to say 'President Trump'.

I think they'll try, but I'm not sure how they'll actually do it legally; especially if it happens before the convention. The DNC will burn the house down if they try and throw Biden in; it will be a much bigger disaster to the democrats than Trump will be to the GOP.

Additionally, the Kremlin is now saying they have all the hacked emails of her's

I haven't seen that anywhere. Where did you hear this?

Edit: I just googled it and can't see any sites but blogs posting it. Reliable sites are reporting that Gucifer, the Romanian hacker that exposed her in the first place, claims he hacked her server, but didn't download anything there and said he didn't see anything of interest there at the time as he didn't stick around long.

Regarding the FBI, you make an interesting point. Also, I don't think this goes away for political purposes given Comey has an axe to grind:

"Comey’s first brush with them came when Bill Clinton was president. Looking to get back into government after a stint in private practice, Comey signed on as deputy special counsel to the Senate Whitewater Committee. In 1996, after months of work, Comey came to some damning conclusions: Hillary Clinton was personally involved in mishandling documents and had ordered others to block investigators as they pursued their case. Worse, her behavior fit into a pattern of concealment: she and her husband had tried to hide their roles in two other matters under investigation by law enforcement. Taken together, the interference by White House officials, which included destruction of documents, amounted to “far more than just aggressive lawyering or political naiveté,” Comey and his fellow investigators concluded. It constituted “a highly improper pattern of deliberate misconduct.”

Comey parlayed the Whitewater job into top posts in Virginia and New York, returning to Manhattan in 2002 to be the top federal prosecutor there. One of his first cases as a line attorney in the same office 15 years earlier had been the successful prosecution of Marc Rich, a wealthy international financier, for tax evasion. But on his last day as President in 2001, Bill Clinton pardoned Rich. “I was stunned,” Comey later told Congress. As top U.S. prosecutor in New York in 2002, appointed by George W. Bush, Comey inherited the criminal probe into the Rich pardon and 175 others Clinton had made at the 11th hour."

Well, not sure they have them, but if they do, it places Russia in an incredibly unique position of being able to game the US election. It makes for an interesting thought experiment for sure.

Here is another source showing that many countries may have hacked her server.

http://nypost.com/2016/01/23/china-and-russia-likely-hacked-hillarys-emails-robert-gates/

Not a big fan of the sources, but logically, it's not a stretch to believe that Russia, China and a whole lot of other countries indeed hacked her. It would be a dereliction of duty from their perspective had they not. And why did she go to the trouble of having a private server in the first place if she wasn't making extra-governmental deals? The DNC is playing Russian Roulette with her IMO.

Party politics is failing. The crazy part is it's like they're both committing some grandiose suicide for all to see. The Dems are choosing the criminal that has bad chances against the Reps candidate that the reps hate despite having received more primary votes than any other GOP candidate in history - and the GOP race had 17 candidates at one point!

There's a system of control that wants to keep things the same. It's never been clearer.

Everyone this side of the pond think Trump will mean WWIII and the return of Hitler, more or less. If they were to check his statements on foreign policy and contrast them with Hillary's, they'd realize the opposite is true. But then again, they'd have to think for themselves, and that's far too demanding.

If Hillary wins, I'm retiring to a hole in the forest.

The problem with alternatives though is the parties have established rules that make it very difficult if not impossible to go around the parties. They have an infrastructure in place where their candidates are on all ballots in all states and they have on the ground networks in each state that is very expensive and difficult to build. Even if you can get around these hurdles, it's unlikely your candidate will be invited to the national debates or get any media exposure.

This is why Bernie ran Democrat instead of independent.

He's actually to her left economically too. He wants to protect social security and she has historically rumbled about getting rid of it along with the Bush clan. And, he wants to shred the adverse trade deals that cause jobs to flood to Asia. She flipped on this and will flip back; Obama has said as much, calling her position on TPP "politically expedient".

Trump is a blowhard and has made some incredibly stupid comments, but I believe he's not as dangerous as Clinton.

I think the email thing is going to get her too; and not because of what Fox News is saying; I've been doing a lot of research on this this past week and there is an incredible amount of damaging info out there that's coming to a head. The democrats are being dumber than Sarah Palin here.

A radical thought and a question.

Radical thought: Trump is all about image and showmanship. The recent disclosure of the "John Miller" fiasco proves the links he will go to make himself look greater than he is. To get the White House would be the greatest ego coup he could ever achieve. Could it be that all he really wants is the Oval Office and that once there, he is more than willing to play whatever games the GOP wants him to play?

Question: Could we get Bernie elected through a write-in vote? Would enough people vote him in that way?

LOL, that's ridiculous. What a bunch of emotional little bitches. How do you even deal with that? Hitler? WW3? Why? Because we want to take better care of ourselves before we offer charity to the rest? JESUS, THAT'S JUST HORRIBLE!!!!

If Hillary wins, the timber interests will decimate your forest.

Well, I'm exaggerating of course, but in essence, that's pretty much the general view regarding Trump: He's a dangerous bigot, and no matter what you think of Hillary, she's preferable.

There's a pro-Democrat, or rather, an anti-GOP bias that runs deep in my country, and, I suspect, much of Europe in general. Can't say I'm a fan of the GOP, but I definitely think that this black-and-white view is pretty damn stupid.

He's no more dangerous than anyone else. He may be more dangerous for the rest of the world but for the US, I think he's great.  And I don't mind his bigotry. Everyone's a bigot, IMO. Those who say they're not are liars.

I've become more of an isolationist in terms of charity due to us continually getting the short end of the stick. We have all this money for wars, and occupation and charity but the elderly's pay sucks, veteran care sucks - well, just lots of stuff like that. But you and I both know why... Because someone somewhere profits on those things. I know Hillary won't change it. Trump is our only hope for true, sweeping change.

What gets me the most watching all of this is how can it be that an investigation is going on with Miss Liar Hillary and yet she can still run for president??Am I missing something? I can spot a lie a mile away. She's a liar. At least Trump blows out stuff from his big mouth but I think he might he half sincere. Yes, he's probably dangerous but he'll have a lot of higher uppers to hold him back. I just shake my head at these politics.

Trump is in all likelyhood not going to do much. His presidency if he wins will be a lot like his business and life: more showmanship and talk than serious fixes. Think "Potemkin village" applied to everything. Although I consider him better than Hillary, it's more because I dislike her ( As anyone who read her emails on wikileaks should ) than because I like Trump. And a write in for Bernie will simply mean a win for Trump. If a successful write in movement for Sanders did occur, the number of republicans willing to vote for him would be very low as opposed to the democrats who would be split.

I think it's hubris. She, and the DNC seem in denial about the seriousness of the potential charges. This is probably due to the fact that she has faced numerous politically-motivated investigations in the past, but it appears this time, they have her dead to rights unless she can somehow use her power to make it all go away.

It just reminds me of watching the trial years ago with O.J. Simpson. She'll get off somehow. Why she can even run her campaigns is beyond me? Righteously, she should be pulled from the whole thing. The justice system itself is bullshit. It's all bullshit. I sit back in my 'easy' chair and go nuts watching it. Yet I want to know what is happening.

I mentioned a couple of years ago that I dabbled a little in the study of powerful people who won wars. It talked about strategies. It's much like being a private investigator according to what I read. You watch very close and keep your mouth shut. You don't let people know what you know or what you are thinking. You need to know how to 'read' people. You tell the majority of people what they want to hear. These guys are all stupid in my opinion, especially Donald with his big mouth. Trump's a good cult leader to a certain degree. If he would close his big mouth and say some of the things that wouldn't shock people so much, he might of had a real huge chance at winning over big mouth Clinton who tries so hard to look like the innocent sweetheart. They think they are good at manipulating, but they're not because their mouths are too big. They 'show' their arrogance too loudly.

I hope so much she gets caught, but much like O.J., she'll have enough rich liars on her side to give the public the big 'cover-up'.....

Rant over on politics this morning. Lol
