I am writing a book on living the Prayer of St. Francis, and I would appreciate hearing some positive stories related to the prayer or to your spiritual life in some way. Positive stuff that makes your heart sing... stories of kindness or selfless acts... I will, of course credit you properly if I use your story in my book. Or I can include your story anonymously... Lyra Posted August 15, 2016 Share Posted August 15, 2016 Hi Brother Jeff, I volunteer on an anti-abuse hotline and have saved people from human trafficking, childhood sexual abuse, and all kinds of other things. This isn't based on spirituality or prayer, though. I'm an anti-theist agnostic. I do this because I believe we all have a duty to make an impact and help others, not because of religion. One of my friends is a volunteer EMT who saves people's lives medically. He is also an atheist. I also know of an older married couple who have taken in like 8 foster kids and helped them find purpose and live meaningful, successful lives.
