Hi, I'm Mike and I have come to this forum as it looks like a good place to discuss what I might call residual issues from being brought up in a church. I'm in my thirties, and was raised around a pentecostal church. Anyway, I have read some old threads and quite like to see people trying to get over their fear and other conditioning. Good to be here.

Welcome Mike. I think you will find this site helpful. Leaving your faith is often a difficult and treacherous journey. There are a lot of knowledgeable folks here that can help make your journey easier.

Hi Mike

Welcome to Ex-C.

Fear is a big factor in deconversion.

Like others have said there is a lot of experience and help to be found here. Feel free to ask questions, and discuss topics.

Cheers

LF

Hi, there, MikeT! Welcome to Ex-C!

There are certainly many people here who will understand your situation. Exiting form Christianity can be a bit like growing up with a skeletal prosthesis of some kind, only to find out later in life that it's broken, and having to remove it after one's body's built itself up around it. With 1/3 of the world still insisting it isn't broken, and why make such a fuss about it?

It seems that you know what the fuss is all about as well. Looking forward to hearing more from you!
