Nanowrimo Is Halfway Over!

Half way over, and I'm a little over halfway through. 32k words hit this past week. Yippee! I'm closing in on the finish line and feeling pretty good about it. Writing a novella has been a very rewarding, and learning, experience. Keeping sentences succinct and to the point. Better quality. Less quantity.   And I haven't updated my excerpt on this blog yet but the language is much much better and believable.   Anyone else getting it done out there?

Week Two Has Landed - Are You Still On The Plane?

It has been a long ass 7 days of writing so far.   Not only am I still maintaining my writing of TWO novels, I've managed to get rave reviews from some pre-readers, and am surprised at how my stories are developing along. Christ's Rebellion I did minimal research for, and I've been pretty fortunate with the development of Jesus' character. It must be my own experiences playing through that is influencing this, and I am not complaining.   My biggest hang up? I am going to be laid off next wee

Nanowrimo - I Am Starting Out Strong

*To the tune of Onward, Christian Soldiers*   ONWARD NaNoWriMo writers, writing on a book, stories ideas forming beautifully out of gobbledygook! Oh well. TOUGH! It's my blog.   Anyway, how we alllll doooin'? I'm pretty happy. I did a lot of intense research the past week an

11 Days Until Nanowrimo Launches - 11 Problems With My Story

So, 11 days until it all begins!!!! I'm excited and nervous. I am currently in the middle of a book I've been working on for about 4 months now, and with it being Nanowrimo, I wanted to work on something completely different. That's why I came up with Christ's Rebellion. And to commemorate the 11 days we have left till we can start writing with carefree abandon, I thought I would list my top 11 issues I have with this new story idea I am toying around with.   1. How much background do I real

Writing Adventures In Your Mind Put Down To Paper

So, I have come to understand there are a number of Nanowrimo participants on this site and I thought I would start a blog for the next 2 months ( or beyond), to post related Nanowrimo.org events along with maybe some discussion on what we are writing about.   I think the annual Nanowrimo event is good therapy on a lot of levels. Many, like myself, put our stories out there via blog. Blogs aren't supposed to be 50k words, but I know many of our stories would easily exceed that count. The only
