"The Lord spoke further to me, saying, ‘I have seen this people, and indeed, it is a stubborn people. 14‘Let Me alone, that I may destroy them and blot out their name from under heaven; and I will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.'" (Deuteronomy 9:13-14).

It seems God is saying, "I'll destroy them if you give me permission and quit pestering me".

"Turn from Thy burning anger and change Thy mind about doing harm to Thy people. 13“Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Thy servants to whom Thou didst swear by Thyself, and didst say to them, ‘I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heavens, and all this land of which I have spoken I will give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’14So the Lord changed His mind about the harm which He said He would do to His people." (Exodus 32:12-14, NASB).

"THe Lord Changed His Mind"

Moses essentially said, quit being an angry sadistic narcissist. Please reconsider annihilating your chosen people. Remember that promise you made? Let it not go down in History that you are a liar!

And God was obedient!

NASB says, "the Lord changed His mind." The NIV and NKJV say, "The Lord relented." The KJV, RSV, and the 1901 ASV say, "The Lord repented." The Hebrew word at issue here is relent/repent נָחַם (nacham). There are 108 occurrences in the Old Testament. The KJV translates it as “comfort” 57 times, “repent” 41 times, “comforter” nine times, and “ease” once.

So, I prayed a prayer today.

" Lord, you did say you are our Father and if a sinful earthly Father knows how to do good things for His children, how much will you be just with your children and give them good things. Would a good Father watch His child drowned and do nothing to help when he's perfectly capable of helping? Would a good Father let His children be deceived when He could tell them the truth, watch them get abused and murdered when it is easy to protect them, let them get trafficked when it's easy to liberate them, watch them be tempted when it is easy to remove the temptor?

If human beings who are imperfect and sinful don't treat their children that way, how much more should our Heavenly Father not do that!

What would we think of a President or Prime minister who demand that His people must worship Him or be tortured for all eternity. That is the epitome of Cruelty and Tyranny were it to come from a human leader. So should our perfect and merciful "King of Heaven" commit such crimes against humanity?

Please Stop consequencing everyone for what Adam and Eve did. You created that tree and that serpent knowing in advance that it would cause them to fall. It isn't our fault so quit making us suffer for it.

I beg of you Lord. Please cease with your barbaric bloodthirstiness and obtuse judgements and condemnations. Please Lord, you are capable of compassion and empathy. I know you can do it. In Jesus name,

Amen "

But, the thing is...if a god should exist, no mere mortal has any authoritative knowledge about who or what he/it might be. The fact that a gender is even attributed to an invisible 'creator,' is hilarious in and of itself.

But, I followed this hilarious notion for a long time, and indoctrination is powerful, is all I can say about that. But, of the various religions known to mankind, they are at best folklore, at worst, outright lies designed to control other groups. As we can see with the stories unfolding in the news today, and in history.
