  1. I've had more than one recovering drug addict/alcoholic tell me that quitting smoking was harder than kicking heroin or booze. It seems addictive personalities need an outlet of some kind. Everything fun is bad for you! I smoked cigarettes my whole life and enjoyed the shit out of it. It didn't cause me any health problems, oddly enough, but I had an emergency procedure and spent three days in hospital where they kept asking me if I wanted a nicotine patch - the thought had never occurred to me and I haven't wanted a cigarette since. I do like a nice vape (without nicotine) though.

  2. You are correct. It is not your responsibility. But hopefully you can eventually release some of what I perceive as bitterness toward women and relationships. It is almost like it has you imprisoned.

  3. Again for you it is an all, or none, situation. Yes, there are some "bad" people in this world, both men and women. But you are focusing on a small segment of society and seeing them as representing the whole. Yes, the man in the video seemed to get a raw deal, at least from his point of view, but what about his poor judgement that got him Into the situation to begin with? His choice of girlfriend, and beating up the guy. Did his parents not teach him about good judgement? Or educating himself to expand his job opportunities?   7. Hey ReducedtoAtoms! My last time, when I was sitting in Evangelical Church with my fellows was the 1st July 2018. More than 2 years passed and I still sometimes feel observed by them.   8. There are agnostic/atheist AA groups. You'd just have to check for meetings in your area. You might also look into Smart Recovery and Refuge Recovery. If you're serious about getting sober, you'll find something that works for you.
