Trust me, I am not a spam bot. My girlfriend's ex-mother in law did not earn $5,000 on the Internet last month.

  • Still have any Gods? If so, who or what?
    None
  1. I don't jump to any conclusion. I just say 'I don't know'. Hence, agnostic. If we knew for certain how it all went down and we knew it wasn't a god/supreme being, then I would be atheist. But we don't, so I'm not
  2. Well, except for this little thing we have called the universe It got here somehow, and my understanding is we don't know exactly what happened before the big bang. So until/unless that question is answered, the possibility of a 'supreme being' is definitely there. I'm not saying that is cause to worship any specific deity or that the existence of such even matters, just that there's no way we can know at this time. But we don't actually know that the universe exists. We simply perceive it through senses that could be inaccurate. Even the science that "proves" the existence of the unive
  3. Honestly? I would let it go. Although it's true that she probably shouldn't have that signature, is it REALLY bothering you that much? If she were preaching at you, that would be one thing. But this just seems kind of petty. Then again, I've been a victim of the PC police myself, because somebody took offense over an inocuous comment I made, where no offense was intended. And it wasn't even directed at the person.

  5. just a quick photoshop job, seemed like an interesting so I just did it. Already shared it on my fb page, lol Can you do this one as well? I wouldn't post this on Facebook, but definitely G+ Christianity is the belief that god impregnated a virgin with himself, to give birth to himself, so he could sacrifice himself, to himself to negate a rule that he himself made.
  6. If I saw all that, the first thing I'd do is wonder whether the guy or somebody associated with him was a good illusionist. They probably didn't have illusionists back then, lol.
  7. I'm with the other guy who said weed > alcohol. It's a better high, and you don't get hangovers afterward. Can burn the shit out of your throat though
  8. owen652 - how did you do that? Was that a manual job, or is there a tool online or something that does it for you?
  9. And maybe a Youtube playlist ready. Might I recommend this for starters?
  10. I dunno... if I saw the dude walking on water and performing healings and such, I'd probably believe. If I saw him raised from the dead, I'm sure I would shit my pants
  11. My original intent for creating this thread was not to get into a pissing contest between the meaning of agnostic or atheist, but to offer a counterpoint to those who insist that there's nothing in between belief and non belief.
  12. I'm from the deeep south. Some take their religion seriously, most don't. For the latter group, it's more about politics than religion, or else those stupid 'Hallmark' platitudes about god that people are always posting on Facebook.
  13. I don't know if this qualifies, but Christians love to use this one if you dare point out the fact that they're violating one of the tenants of their faith, but they also get pissed if you use it on them:
  14. I've been doing some online reading tonight, trying to understand the differences between an agnostic and atheist, and I've seen thoughts expressed like below: As I see it though, this is not necessarily a binary equation. For example, if you have a cat, and I don't know for sure what color it is, I can either believe that the cat is black (theist) or not believe it (atheist). However, the fact is that there has not been enough information provided to me to draw an opinion one way or the other, so I have to admit that I simply don't know. Of course, I could do research into wha
  15. I think a simple quote might do it.. I like this one: Every account of a higher power that I've seen described, of all religions that I've seen, include many statements with regard to the benevolence of that power. When I look at the universe and all the ways the universe wants to kill us, I find it hard to reconcile that with statements of beneficence. - Neil deGrasse Tyson Does anyone know how I can convert this (or similar quote) into a little frame/poster, like the ones people are always posting on Facebook?
