  1. You are right Jeff, we do not go to heaven by worship god, being baptized in water, speaking in tongues and not by accepting Christ as our savior. Rather we grow to heaven by creating heaven within us through practicing unconditional love to everybody like Jesus taught Kevin Williams
  2. A person had a Near death experience and went through various heavens. He said the Christian heaven was boring, eternal worship was just isn't fun. Though also NDEs and spiritualists describe heaven ( not the christian concept) as lively hilarious place that is serene and very difficult to describe using just words. God does not need worship but we get what we expect. Spiritual life in heaven will be similar to physical life only people will be free and have millions of fun things to do and things to learn about, where hatred and unkindliness does not exist, where beauty is indescribable. No one can sin, because we as souls are perfect, loving and joyful. As for Satan, he's not real, he doesn't even belong in Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Hell is a spiritual state that is anything but desirable, hell is not a place and niether is heaven. Hell is is a spiritual state within that is descent into madness, misery, darkness, sorrow, crushing pain, self defeat, and all consuming terror, sound desirable to you?
  3. Thank you for your reply, I do feel compelling to note that I find atheists easier to communicate with than cruel people of a particular religion. You could try astral projection, very helpful.
  4. Spend some open-minded time over at http://www.near-death.com. Read "Proof of Heaven" by Dr. Eben Alexander (an atheist neurosurgeon before his NDE). Read "Heaven is for Real", which is about Colton Burpo's NDE. See the movie also -- very powerful and very compelling, unless you are hopelessly biased against the possibility of an afterlife or the existence of God. Look into Pam Reynold's NDE (which skeptics thus far have utterly failed to explain away...). These are not mere personal anecdotes. NDEs are powerful, life-changing experiences, and lack of oxygen to the brain doesn't even begin to explain them. Neither does the skeptical "hallucination" theory, which fails to explain the scope and power of the NDE, among other things. I have little desire for a debate on NDEs here (I have seen enough proof to convince me of their reality and that won't likely change with debate), but I do disagree with you, for good reasons. Hopefully, we can respectfully agree to disagree... I love near death.com. If it weren't for that site and several others, I would probably still be a christian. I only saw a review of Colton's near death experience on the 700 club a few years back. Though the best I've read is the NDE of Christian Andreason who returned with one simple message on how to live one's life, with love. Just like you no body can convince me that NDEs are impossible, hallucinations ect. Skeptics have failed to prove that they are false.
  5. The land millions of feet below and the land millions of miles beyond the sky does sound highly unlikely
  6. So your brother Jeff! I must say congratulations on an excellent website, I love it. I have read many NDEs and I must say that I went from non christian, to christian to non christian again with NDEs helping me. NDEs also show the falsehood of some christian doctrines like god is a divine human living in the sky, that eternity in hell is fact, that faith saves, that sin is a crime against God ect. Take Howard Storm for example, he was an avowed atheist with a very mean spirited personality, after his NDE, he became a believer with a kinder personality. I believe that knowledge truly does come from experience.
  7. Religious people believe that there is life after death, atheist believe that death is the end of existence. I would say there is little evidence that there is life after death and little evidence that there is no life after death, but someone has got to be correct. Death is defined as the end of life but are life and death really distinguished? If religious people believe that life keeps going after death than they have to explain death it'self and it's reality, while atheists have to explain what life really is if they believe existence ends at death, what is the real explanation behind existence? This is the view of an agnostic, a person who has opened up to the possibility that life and death cannot truly be explained by imperfect humans with limited intelligence.
  8. It's healthy to not care what others think here -- and something I think at least most of us naturally gravitate toward in time. The first few times you hear it though, I think it's a challenge to your character. It's as if the xian leveling the charge is arguing we lived our life without integrity or any depth. And, since for many of us, the exact opposite is true -- we took our beliefs more seriously than any pew-warmer ever dreamed, when that pew-warmer makes such a challenge, it's like they are feeding us gravel. I'm personally over it as it's been years and years and I really don't care any more, but I remember all too well the first time I had this thrown at me so I can still empathize with those who aren't yet past the initial stages of their deconversion. True, my journey was pretty long and it wasn't easy to simply let go of a life I once led as a Christian. Took my heart a little while to catch up to my mind. Another way to answer the verbal attack ''you were never a real Christian,'' is by saying...''well, you're right. I was never a homophobic, sexist slave owner, so you're right. I was never a real Christian.' Mouths will drop open. Brilliant! That is so true, if being a part of the christian religion turns you into a self righteous person and hateful person than leaving it is for the best. I too wasn't homophobic, sexist ect.. I just wanted to be saved. Isn't the majority of Christians only Christians out of fear of endless punishment and desire of eternal bliss?
  9. . That takes a lot of spiritual growing and my spiritual status was never addressed. We know you by your fruits and your fruits are chaff. Depart from me for I never knew thee. Peace be with you but do you sir believe that you are not judging?

  11. I was told the same thing, that I wasn't a true christian. I would just like to say that the majority of people who call themselves Christians, are not true Christians, they are Paulians. True Christians behave like Jesus, as Jesus said in the bible if you truly believe in him, you will do good deeds out of loving kindness like he did. True followers of Jesus treat others with loving kindness, and any christian who claims that he/she is christian for accepting Jesus as lord and savior is deceiving theirself, Jesus taught good works while Paul taught faith is true Christianity, Paul was a sneaky and egocentric liar. Most Christians are believing in Paul's teachings while rejecting Jesus, making Christianity the religion of Paul, Paul even founded Christianity. If ''Christians'' even read Jesus' teachings like the sermon on the mount, the sermon on the plain, the parable of the good Samaritan, and his 3 commandments, than it is clear that heaven is attained through compassionate deeds, not by accepting Jesus as savior. Jesus never said that ''believe in me as your savior'' and you go to heaven.

  13. Plain and simple, the doctrine of endless suffering is the worse thing that has ever been made. Just imagine it: Fire that never goes out and consumes you on and on forever, the screams of intense agony, the tears of pain and despair all the while being bullied by sadistic and psychopathic monsters who probably taunt you endlessly. You would yell apologies and beg to be freed by god but your yells go unheard while god is happy with those who were able to enter heaven through faith in the works of Jesus. You will never see the light of day again, you will fall into madness as you succumb to existential despair, hating your very existence. Some fundamental Christians go even further with another torture method, they make up hellish stories to scare people into converting. Have you ever heard of Mary Baxter? This christian stated that Jesus entered into her home and told her that the purpose of her existence was to write a book ( called divine revelation) to tell of the harsh reality of hell and the beauty of heaven. She claims this was a near death experience, impossible. Baxter did not die, she was taken from her body by Jesus, and her NDE contradicts the millions of reported NDEs. Baxter was taken into hell ( which she claimed was a physical place shaped like a human body) where she witnessed the torture of several unrepenters. Jesus was with her the entire time. The unrepenters were begging Christ to give them another chance but he refused making statements like ''you should have repented'' ''judgment has been set'' while Baxter was hurting for these unfortunate souls, wanting them to go free. Another fairytale is Angelica Zombrano's NDE, where she claimed she saw people like Michael Jackson and Selena in hell, her message was basically, if you listen to music you will burn in hell for all eternity. It's madness, plain and simple. You have to be really gullible to believe that, yet many believed it, almost all were Christians. They were praising the lies as if they sounded happy! Is this really how they view their god? Eternal damnation is psychotic and twisted period. No one can convince me that it is not. How many of you have heard that ''god is love but also righteous/just/vengeance?'' Anyone with eternal torture on their scale is anything but loving and certainly not just. Many Christians may say that ''you don't understand god or his ways are not like ours.'' It should be safe to say that if god truly is what he is ''perfect, loving and wise'' than vengeance is never on his mind! If God is ''all loving'' than there is no room for hatred in him. The new testament doesn't say that god is ''somewhat loving'' or partially loving. The NT says god is all loving ''completely loving'' it goes even deeper to say he is the very biblical definition of love, that he is love. Bible: Love is patient, kind, doesn't boast, is not rude, is not jealous, is not selfish, is not easy to anger and doesn't keep any record of wrongs: Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices in the truth, it always protects, always believes, always hopes, always perseveres and never fails! We humans are all for vengeance and punishment for the wrong, yet we can be loving at times but still we believe in vengeance, well not everybody. Satan also believed in revenge and injustice, so that is why he tempted Adam and Eve, to get back at god! Vengeance is egotistical and we all agree it's bad! If God is vengeful like Satan and humans than he's no better than Satan or humans. This makes god out to be an egomaniac, like Hitler and Saddam Hussein. Since god is perfect and our ways are not his ways than god doesn't do evil or even believe in it. Eternal cruelty in hell is the ultimate act of vengeance, not justice and not even punishment. When you punish someone, you intend to steer them straight, how can anybody be steered straight if they have no hope of ever getting out of hell? This is Evil and incredibly vile, yet Christians continue to support and praise their god ( probably because they are scared of him and dare not question him.) Fear is the ultimate motivation, it is the most effective ploy to make mind slaves out of people and make them do what you want. Fear however is a poor excuse to do the right thing, the fear of hell has crippled the minds of people adult and child alike. Another problem is with accountability. Many Christians say that very young children are in mortal danger of hell when they reach the age which they will be accounted for sins. If this is the case, than having children is a terrible mistake. You have brought in the world someone who might go to hell if they reject Jesus as lord and savior. The most compassionate thing a soon to be mother should do would be to abort her unborn child, it would be the moral thing to do, by doing this, you have saved a soul from the ''wrath of god.'' Though many Christians are against abortion and call it satanic. I even read an article in which a woman killed her child because she was deeply afraid that he would go to hell, this is another example about the evil of hell. If hell is true than in the end, most of humankind will be lost for all eternity in the lake of fire, the devil sitting on his throne, laughing about how he got 70% of the population while god out of anger, not because he was impotent, saved only a few. Christians admit that Satan is winning and will beat the all powerful deity by the end of the world, so Satan is really all powerful, as if he has everyone fooled, making him worthy to be called ''the father of lies. ''
  14. My idea is heaven. You must accept Jesus as savior to go there, if you don't believe in his works on the cross you will burn in hell forever! Joking. My idea of heaven is ''plane of Venus''. There is much more freedom and endless possibilities where one learns , creates and lives in comfort. You must be a humble person to go there. Spirituality helped me discover this mysterious place. Now what would your afterlife be?
  15. I don't believe sending a natural disaster as punishment is just in any way. Natural disasters happen by some other force not divine force. It seems that what is just and what is unjust is hard to distinguish in christianity
  16. What do you think about the 700 club?
  17. http://carm.org/ Is it really fair for god to love Jacob but hate Esau? Carm claims that the christian god is always right and is right to hate sinners (everybody).
  18. Thank you duderonomy, I've discovered the westboro baptist church a little while ago and never knew about Fred Phelps.
  19. Has anyone ever hear about this place www.godhatesfags.com
