Interesting article on the history of energy researches

Heat and electricity seem part of the spectrum of qi. It is why hot will go to cold and vice versa, and not something else. Energy expresses itself according to qi balance.

Here's a interesting article. It really seems to be on the right track for future development. The future is in energy and fields of energy-

I doubt there's enough money in external qigong for a company to control external qi though.

Goodbye Jesus

WTF?

-Lokmer

Edited to add:

Ah, we have another uncritical new-ager. Welcome to the forum, expect a good soaking with logic from time to time.

And please, if you're going to post, don't post a page full of unexplained links filled with utter tripe. If you MUST paper the forum with garbage, please do it in your own words. Even most of the Calvanists here have the decency to do that.

Guest Son of Belial

This is starting to piss me off. Like I said, I have no problem discussing Nostradamus, Ki, souls, whatever... but stop flinging fucking URLS and images at me! Goddamn! I agree with Lockmer... with a few exceptions, even the Calvinists are better than this.

Dhalism,

Welcome to Ex-C! I can appreciate your getting excited about different websites in agreement with your belief system. But, you have to understand that you posting all these links here is no different than a Christian posting 50 links to sites proving that Jesus is the son of God and the worlds savior...I

hey there Dhalism,

I appreciate your passion for this subject.

The best constructive way to do something like this, in order to avoid the ire of the troops here, is to just post one or two. Then, you can say that if someone is interested, just send you a personal e-mail to ask for more links.

Peace,

Erick

Dhalsim is a character in Street Fighter II, he's a dude who can stretch. Why the fuck would you choose a retarded name like that?

Now I do like me some Ki, But I try to keep it out of this site. I don't really think that the ideas of energy are very accepted on this site. Our knowledge comes from personal experience not websites.

Buddha's compassion go with you :thanks:

Um...most of their posts are like "& teh BIBLE sys this: [chapter xyz verse 123] and U R goin 2 Burn 1n H3LL 4Ever so neener neener boo boo!!111!1!1!!!!! U Kant Play wif me, Im gone 2 Heaven."

At least the links aren't mispelled, even if they are apparently random. Although, I missed the part where this was the "let's post random new age links" forum.

Am I the only one who, upon seeing it was nothing but an obscenely large list of links with no real information or insight into his/her character, just skipped Dhalism's post altogether and read through the replies in the hopes that s/he'd posted again and actually revealed some character?

I like a lot of new age music, simply because I have a soft spot for instrumentals, but I'd rather a person gives no "backing" information at all for their beliefs and actually posts something relevant to who they are so I can get to know them and (hopefully) start to build a friendship.

Well, with posts like this:

Dhalsim is a character in Street Fighter II, he's a dude who can stretch.  Why the fuck would you choose a retarded name like that?

Are you really surprised that they up and fled? I know I wouldn't've stuck around if the replies to my first posts had been so rude.

A simple "You know, you'd probably be better off posting your own stuff" would've sufficed. There was no need to out-and-out assault/insult the person.

You've got a point there. I did think that was a little over-the-top, but ultimately decided it wasn't worth fighting over.

I hope Dhal decides to come back. We did rake him/her over the coals a bit, unfortunately, but I'll wager there's a good person behind those beliefs we'd probably enjoy knowing.

Ki (Chi, or Qi, depeding on language and transliteration) tends to be an interesting topic to me. Whether or not there is any scientific validity to it, I've found many of the exercises around it to have some useful applications. Then again a list of links is quite a turn-off, kind of wish the guy would come back so we could see if s/he is cool, or just some poorly researched idiot.
