Homosexual pastor...

 

 

 

 

 

I've come the end of myself... Here I am, a Christian leader...someone committed to ministry, and beneath it all, beneath the God-seeker and pastor, lies a guy who struggles with homosexuality. Several months ago, I acted out with another man; before that, it had happened 3 times one summer a few years ago. The rest, is in my heart and mind. Very occassionally I'll look at things online, but the attack comes in the form or lust and images.

 

I want, what I know I cannot want. I like women, but, I think about men way more. I need freedom, and I'm desperate for it. I don't want this deep bedded sin to ruin the ministry I am in...ruin the relationships within my church, or ruin me...and I feel like I am being ruined pretty quickly.

 

Its like I want to call an end to serving God and just buy into the lie...it seems like that would be easier, to leave Him and everyone else behind....but that's not reality. I am forever His. I am His, and I will fight...but I so need help.

psss... you can't 'cure' homosexuality as far as I know, you can repress your feelings but not get rid of them as basically gay people's brains are already wired to like same sex people... any comments?

This is really depressing. Because of a couple of obscure little passages in a book, millions of GBLTA people suffer. For absolutely no good reason.

 

I hope this guy comes to accept himself as a gay man and finds something better than serving an intolerant god and congregation.

Yeah it's sad to see someone battling against his own natural desires and believing them to be sinful, probably because 'the bible says so'. Likewise, I hope he comes to accept himself the way he is.

I think the guy should buy a box of condoms and sleep with as many men as possible. Maybe he can get it out of his system...I'm being totally facetious of course.

 

Well, the note is really sad. I was where he was once...and it breaks my heart to see ANYONE fight a losing battle. He will waste his life away and then become one of those guys that finally come out at 60 years old...

I have just had a quick look at the forum this post came from, and heck there is a lot of prayer requests, mainly relating to porn, masturbation etc.

 

Almost makes you think that the devil is attacking Christians

 

But seriously, it makes you realise that Christianity puts sooo much guilt on you when you have these kind of issues and probably think you shouldn't. But, like with homosexuality, Jesus doesn't really help too much with these things, does he? Better live a life where you don't feel so guilty about these things, no?

Wow...a lot of the topics on that forum are just sad. Those people feel horrible about themselves over things that are perfectly natural. It really deflates that argument that 'some people need religion.', when see how many would be much healthier without it.

Xianity makes people crazy. Anyone who doesn't believe that should read all the posts in that forum. But then, those people seem pretty stupid to begin with, so...whatever.
