R. S. Martin
Just take a look at his face. He knows he's been left behind but he has to smile for the camera anyway. That fake smile looks so ANGRY. He looks kinda like he's the baby-eating monster don't you think??? Of course.....a guy whose idea of the ideal gift for kids is a horror and violence game..... R. S. Martin
Here's a quote: The Pre-Trib Research Center was established for the express purpose of exposing ministers to the teachings of good Bible prophecy. Currently they publish, The Pre Trib Perspectives, a monthly journal, keeping the reader on the cutting edge of unfolding prophetic events. It also keeps the reader from being deceived as we approach the end of the age. Exposing these false prophets and their harmful teaching QUESTION: What's so deceptive to just believe reality as it presents itself?
Mythra
That is a funny pic of him, ruby. Wonder what the dude spends every month on grecian formula hair dye? And, he signs off "until he returns".... that tickled the shit outta me. How much money do you suppose this guy has made off of this idiocy? Even when I was at the peak of fundyism, I still couldn't imagine all the christians in the world just floating up into the air..... That little gem is only for those who have LEFT BEHIND... their brains.

Lycorth
The concept of the Rapchah is sick (Jebus' biggest fans get taken away just in the nick of time so the rest of the world can suffer for not being Xian, all for the glory of Gawd). The plot of the Left Behind series is sick (since it's based on the Rapchah). And Tim Lahayes is an asshole for both authoring this deplorable trash (aimed at young adults, especially - get 'em while they're young, eh?) and approving the video game version. I hope he realizes the twisted filth he's tricking kids into believing and spends a good 20 years or so in intense therapy to deal with the emotional and psychological fallout as punishment. What a jerk.
Taphophilia
I remember when I was in my early twenties and I read his book "The Act of Marriage", a Christian sex book. It was Christian porn. I could read it and not commit a "sin". I read it over and over and over. Every Christian I knew, whether married or not, had a copy of that book. He should have stuck with Christian sex manuals. LosingMyReligion
Count me as one of those fools who purchased every single one of his shitty books (he isn't even a good writer. His prose is marginal at best). And I even bought those horrible Kirk Cameron movies. But, I've since traded those into Blockbuster Video for money. I hope he realizes the twisted filth he's tricking kids into believing and spends a good 20 years or so in intense therapy to deal with the emotional and psychological fallout as punishment. What a jerk. My brother drew my sister's name for Christmas. Guess what she wanted? The Left Behind series for her computer. My 8-year old and I were talking about the video game and she looked at me and said, "that's stupid, but I want it. I want to fight the one's trying to kill the other people." (Something like that). I thought of buying it second hand in order to show her the horrors of that belief. I may still. My sister though, I'm sure, will preach it to her grandkids as the truth. Hell, the kids feel bad enough about several members of their family going to hell already. Fuckin' child abuse, IMO.
quicksand
And I even bought those horrible Kirk Cameron movies. But, I've since traded those into Blockbuster Video for money. Out of curosity a few months ago, I downloaded and watched the first episode. Besides all the usual quips I could make about the acting and script writing, what struck me is the amount of attention paid and how many times it was iterated that children we're raptured and in heaven by showing empty cribs or carriers. (To say nothing of the numerous calls-to-action to pick-up the bible now and give yourself to the LaHaye-Christ.) Now the question, I have to ask myself, is what kind of heaven will these children have without their parents? Or in the case of the left-behind Dad and Son, what kind of heaven is the mother going to have without her son or husband? Won't that put a damper on all this joy we're supposed to have in heaven? I see these scores and scores of children, living eternity as children, as orphans. Is this really the heaven that the rapture-crowd really wants? Probably not. And I doubt that these pre-trib freaks even see it that way, even if it bothers to cross their mind. Or if it does, I am sure it dismissed out of hand by some pathetic punishment by god is only righteous. However, it is also punishment on the raptured parents in not having their children with them. So, who really wins with this monstrous belief? Btw, does Cameron's character turn out to be gay? Seriously. "Buck" is soo brokeback. That's my guess why he's left behind. Open_Minded
OK... so he's not Tim Lahayes ... but....hey..... if the picture fits..... So.... what do you think the chances are that George and Laura have watched the Left Behind series on the White House big screen?????
Antlerman
I do believe the rapture is happening now. It's not a one time, sudden event, but a relatively rapid event. Within the last decade the Christian's who follow all this shit are getting more and more ignorant - to the point it is beyond an intelligent person's ability to fathom. So if ignorance = bliss.... this is the rapture. The ignoramuses are rising up! Praise Stupidity! Thy Kingdom has come!

Or at least rip them up and throw them in the recycling, if you can. I will never sell any of my old Xian stuff that I still have - I'd rather destroy it so that others won't be influenced by it and possibly sucked into Xianity, as I once was. But the "Rapture" also happened a few hundred years ago, too. All this "rapture" crap began around the Civil War. 7th-Day Adventists. That failed. So they keep moving the goal post. Cold war ie Russia. Gulf Wars. Now Iran. Like Sam Harris, I'm afriad that they'llbe correct, but only by their self-fullfilling prophecies.. those delusional insane bitches these folks are. I'm the one who's been bitching about how much $$ got spent on christmas, so she's trying to make a little money back, LOL. I don't even have the money excuse. I was GIVEN Lee Strobel's Case for Christ. I could not force myself to read it. A like-minded person read it to please his wife and reported on it. I gave it to my family because I thought someone might like it. They went crazy over it! Everybody wanted to read it. A conversation started about it in the circle letter. One thing led to another and eventually they found out that I don't believe anymore. That got me into real trouble. The kind of trouble I don't expect to get out of. All my life I have been asking questions. People just ignored me. But when I find my own answers, horror of horrors! They act as though I were out to get them or spite them just because. As though there were no connection between my lifelong questions and the answers I am finally applying. The injustice is so overwhelming.... I just got an idea. Please god! come and rapture away all these horrid christians so the rest of us can live decent lives without fear. Nah...that doesn't work either. My family don't believe in the rapture. They believe more like Matthew 24 says that Christ will return with the sound of a trumpet and the good will be gathered into heaven. Everything happens in the blink of an eye--Judgment and all. And of course the wicked ungrateful unbelievers who don't accept Jesus' wonderful sacrifice will be thrown into a lake of fire to burn forever. Naturally, it bothers them considerably that I will be among those people. I think that is what's behind all this effort to get me back. There's not much I can do about it. They won't dare risk hell by believing my ideas. So I don't even try at this point to enlighten them. They sincerely believe that they are the enlightened ones.
