I have drawn certain conclusions, but in the end, and whatever the case may be, my mother-in-law, who immigrated from the Ukrainian with her husband before my time, and after hearing about Leaf, has said it is not uncommon for men of the Ukraine to brag about conquests they've never actually had. In her opinion, men who brag about all the women they have while ridiculing others for watching pornography are, in all likeliness, guilty of watching porn themselves every night after striking out; while the real gentlemen are the ones who take the ladies home. Leaf has brought this up so many times, I wonder myself; is he trying to overcompensate for his lack of sexual prowess? Quite possibly so.

 

Trancelation: I have read every word in your posts with great interest; I confess, I am flattered, platonically speaking, of course. You have delved far deeper into Leaf's personality than I ever possibly could, and have to agree that you are completely dead-on. To be perfectly honest, I had never heard of the term NPD until you mentioned it here. Now that I know of this condition, I too know of such people; as does my wife. She has commented that such men are, in fact, a huge turn-off, as she has dumped her fair share of them. Interestingly, some of these past "Boyfriends" were in fact regulars at the gym. Then we'll drink my father's home-made wine and play games until we can't see straight; my wife, who rarely drinks, will drive us home, then I'll pass out, go to sleep, then wake up at 4:00 am with a case of the pasties. Wash those away with a glass of water, brush my teeth, then give my wife her "Reward," as she so does love being surprised while sleeping.

Something doesn't quite add up with Leaf. His English skills are horrific, he doesn't have any grasp of American euphimism's. He doesn't grasp sentence structure, spell correctly, has trouble with contractions and possessives. What is really telling is that he doesn't have command of the word "the". He rarely uses it, when any English speaking person would, even uneduated ones. Yet, he claims to teach English, is an American, and was in the US Army. I agree with you wholeheartedly; most people have something called a reputation that they try to protect. To some, especially an atheist, a reputation is a very important thing to attain and maintain. One can only attain a good reputation through honesty. I feel that the vast majority of humans that populate this earth are indeed concerned about their reputation, and would prefer to hold back information rather than outright lie. Lying in and of itself seems to be the recourse of a desperate person with much to protect and plenty to lose.

 

After reading Trancelation's very insightful posts, I must conclude that Leaf is indeed suffering from Narcissism. After all, he seems to care very little about his reputation as an honest and forthright guy. If I wasn't wasted on some very good wine right now, I'd have more to say. Moving along... yes, I've noticed a few discrepancies in Leaf's stories. Namely that he's supposedly a former US army vet. Now, how can someone who obviously hail from another country, and lives there now, have ever been a soldier in the American military? I don't know all about military regulations, but I can't see how a foriegner can serve in the Army.

 

That, and his English skills are indeed beyond horrific. He can't spell to save his life, and can barely put together coherent sentences. That can't possibly be Army material, and if his knowledge of Ukrainian is similar, I doubt he can smooth-talk any women. He can't even whine coherently.

On my English I write on a on-line forum not a book...Also I teach history and volunteer verbal English..I dont teach English vocab, I think that is the worst method to use when learning anouther language..But my job is investments..I teach mainly for a hobby because the pay is quit low..Also the word "the " is not in the Russian vocab. You all can come down on my English But I speak 3 languages and I have not returned to the USA for 3 years beyound 1, 2 week trip to Boston last year so my English needs some brushing...Do you all speak 2 other languages beyound your native tounge?

Because of traveling for Christmas - I've been out of the thread for a few days. I left when he was talking about American men being "neutered".

 

Then I went home - to my husband's side of the family. I married into a family of 9 guys. My husband is second youngest so now there are grown grandchildren and even grown great-grandchildren. There is an abundance of men as it seems to run in the family.

 

And I watched these American men - all of them big guys - many of them into construction &/or woodworking/furniture building/cabnitry - etc....

 

They are men in every sense of the word. They work hard and they play hard. Tact is NOT one of their strong suites.

 

And yet - my husband and one of his brothers planned the whole holiday meal, purchased the food, cooked it, etc.....

 

Another brother took charge of the house and made sure their mother's home (she's in her late 80s and can't do a lot in the kitchen anymore) was ready for company.

 

We all cleaned up together - men and women.

 

We all took care of the children together. These big hunky guys who were on a construction site the day before could just as easily be rocking one of the babies or changing a diaper as any of the females.

 

My own 19 year-old, 6' 4" big hunky guy son could be seen chasing the toddlers down and getting them into coats for their parents when it was time to leave. Yes - he's not yet married - and yet it's not beneath him to chase down a two-year old and wrestle her into a pair of pants and winter gear for the trip home while her parents are chatting in the dining room and saying their good-byes.

 

If these men are examples of "neutered" American males - I'll take them any day of the week. They drive me nuts some days - they say what they think and they don't mince words.

 

But, they are kind and compassionate and loving. They know there is more to life then measuring their dick and telling each other about their latest "conquests". Oh .. sweetie ... not one of those men has a hard time attracting women. I married into the family - my husband is the most attractive man I've ever met. He may not be a pretty boy like you - but he is strong and compassionate at the same time. His eyes are like deep pools of blue and they are deep because of his compassion towards me and his children. What attracted him to me - when we met - wasn't his sports car, or his young hot body, and it certainly wasn't his ability to "sweet talk" me. I'd met plenty of men - by that time - who knew how to sweet talk women - but they were shallow. My husband was young and handsome and had a fast car - but so did a lot of other guys. No - what attracted me to him - was that he was fascinated with me. Totally and completely fascinated with me - he'd have given up anything for me and he still would. For some reason - he saw things in me that I didn't see in myself. That is why I fell in love with him and it is why I still love him 26 years into our marriage.

I can only speak for my husband - and I'll guarantee you are weekends are full. Especially now that our children are young adults. Sitting at home on a weekend night is only done if we are entertaining - otherwise we're at someone elses house, at a theatre, at a restaurant, etc... Being married 26 years does not condemn one to a life of boredom.

Because - as individuals - they are unhappy. I don't cheat on my husband - he doesn't cheat on me. As individuals we have built a life together - a happy life together. OK here's my Player story.In a nutshell, I Use to be a Big time WUSS!!!

Mom and dad, sisters in my life gave me advise about women like, buy them stuff, "flowers,gifts, meals"I was also shy...In High School I had like 1 girlfriend and would be afraid to even go to a dance..Tried to cover that by being Macho..When the Dances came I'd go with a few friends and skip out saying I'm too cool for that. On women I was a total wuss..afraid to approach them, talk with them etc.

College-First year pretty much the same..I was dateless. Women were intimidating.I went into studies and enrolled into a Campus Crusade,joined a Frat, 'Thinking this stuff would help me get more women" Well nothing worked....I did start talking a bit more to women..But nothing came of it. I was getting tired of siting at home on weekends jacking off.I was a nice looking 20 year old CHRSITAIN guy..dateless and the girls I was friends with were just that friends they wanted nothing more with me.Shit even some of my ugly friends had nice looking girlfreind..while I was single and couldnt even land a date.

Well Heres what I did..I became MORE of a WUSS BAG!!!!! 2nd year of college I did become less shy and started asking out girls..But then it all ended on date One. If A girl liked me..I would get real serious, give them flowers, buy meals. I was spinning my wheels.I had like 7 dates my 2nd year of college nothing leading to more two dates. I was like WTF??? I'm buying meals, being a NICE GUY, opening doors, calling often on then phone, Taking girls to the Olive Garden..I was like WHAT GIVES???I was pussy-less and penniless.

So I did something! I went to a book store and bough self help books, Books by Zig Ziegler,Tony Robbins...I first wanted to be more positive, more outgoing and more confident...Then while at the bookstore I came across a Classic all around good book on attraction-relationship that would start the road to recovery.It was Called LOVE TACTICS..So I went reading these books..And practicing what they said...The Love Tactics book I read like 6 times in one month..I started understand attraction and being confident and how it all worked.This was in May of my softmore year...That summer my game improved LEAPS and BOUNDS!

To make it short...I was getting women! Still learning in the same time...I cut down buying meals and all that nice guy crap..And what started happening is I was getting laid, getting numbers, dates..I became a player. By my Senior year in college I don't think i went 1 weekend without a women.My Senior year of college I had 14 women."Note thjis was a Christian College I went to!!!

After college I hit the work place..Yeah behind a desk for the US Army.I was getting married women,single women, Still Christian women, married Christian women soldier chicks "nice looking ones" I was having a great time.At this time I was not real serious anymore about the faith..but I still believed in hell and all that...

The keys to success I found are

1.Be positive about life and have a good outlook.

You went out on dates being needy and greedy and you couldn't get a 2nd date. You couldn't control your greedy weenie lusts, and the girls could see through you shallowness, because you had spent no time on developing a personality.
