His two proofs are an overstated case that Appolonius of Tyana is a completely historical character who dates from the exact time of Jesus and did the exact things that were later attributed to Jesus. And, christianity has all of it's origins in pagan motifs, as demonstrated by Justin Martyr's defence in the second century, which mentions the similarities between Mithraism and Christianity. But, I have learned a little more now, and I'm determined not to just exchange one unsupportable position (Jesus IS) for another (I can PROVE jesus never was) It's just not that easy.
