Every Law passed, every regulation enforced has that nasty "Unintended Consequence" that is never forseen at time of its enactment.. mwc Posted January 10, 2007 Share Posted January 10, 2007 Way back (okay not so way back) when I ran my ISP they were kicking around these ideas in the name of protecting some group or another. I always said that if I was still running the business when they inacted any of these "protections" I would close it. I'm not in business to do the work of the police (yes, if in the course of my business I came across illegal activity I'd deal with it but it was my option to do so...and abusing children would definately be reported without some law). The old chestnut of "if you haven't done anything wrong then you don't have anything to hide" just doesn't cut it. They can stay the hell out of my business unless I invite them in (and then only for the thing I invite them in for). First they are sickos, and now, everything they do it's all, oh the child porn people, oh the pedofiles etc. It's just this great scare tactic excuse to reduce our freedoms, if its not terrorists, its ohhhhhhhhh :: cue scary music :: child porn.
