Guest bdp
Randy Newman - God's Song Cain slew abel, seth knew not why For if the children of israel were to multiply Why must any of the children die? So he asked the lord And the lord said: Man means nothing, he means less to me Than the lowliest cactus flower Or the humblest yucca tree He chases round this desert 'cause he thinks that's where i'll be That's why i love mankind I recoil in horror fro the foulness of thee From the squalor and the filth and the misery How we laugh up here in heaven at the prayers you offer me That's why i love mankind The christians and the jews were having a jamboree The buddhists and the hindus joined on satellite tv They picked their four greatest priests And they began to speak They said, "lord, a plague is on the world Lord, no man is free The temples that we built to you Have tumbled into the sea Lord, if you won't take care of us Won't you please, please let us be?" And the lord said And the lord said I burn down your cities-how blind you must be I take from you your children and you say how blessed are we You all must be crazy to put your faith in me That's why i love mankind You really need me That's why i love mankind
Trancelation
Heaven Shall Burn - Biogenesis (Undo Creation) An overbearing dogma in disguise Superstition displacing all reality Debasing mother nature and dreaming of intelligent design Let sanity prevail! Adulterated doctrine, So abstruse, Beyond all reason And apart from any evidence Let sanity prevail! Defending Darwin's throne Idolizing supreme forces while trampling down creation Unable to accept their unimportance, insignificance Their insignificance Prospecting vindication for existing misery Scorn this indoctrination, Pressed on by a profane confraternity Shame for the summit of creation Let sanity prevail! Defending Darwin's throne Where blind belief and science meet we're defending Darwin's throne
Guest Rammknot
Deicide - Scars of the Crucifix Impale the body, scares of his flesh, hung up to die on the crucifixion, bleeding to breathe, cursing at god...Why!!!!!!! The glory resurrection; live in wounds of recollection, Who take his will unreasoned, naivete inside soul defeated? Lascivious redemption, justify thy vile absence, Propagate his aggression as you use his words as weapons. Lies now have you lost, the worthless cause of the crucifixion. The sanctity, to hang and bleed, and in the form of a human cross. Blind by prophecy, his bible fiend, a bloody sword of his fantasy. Tried for heresy, and sacrilege, to bare the scars of the crucifix. You walk alone with Jesus, in a world of non-believers, Humiliated savior, Is thy son of heavens failure, For ever left undone, on the cross for everyone, His words of god unheard, he is dead and not concerned. God fatality, the life recedes on the cross of his sign, Finality, in search of peace, to beg and plead for the end that will be, The light descends, when suffering, impaled again for your blasphemous lies. Resented death, his sins confessed, accept the scars of the crucifix. Sad in your sorrow, withered within, stand in the shadow of all of our sins, you are the son, choke on his blood...Die!!!!!! The Sage Nabooru
I love Alanis Morissette's "Thank U" video for two reasons: 1. "Yes, I'm naked. Look, it's perfectly natural. It's not some naughty porno thing or gross-out bathroom thing. It's just the way we come into the world." 2. "And no, I don't have Carmen Electra's body. Who cares? This is me as I really am, and I'm beautiful."
shotsy
Pretty much any music that makes me feel good without pushing religion. Basically, I believe that as long as I'm happy independent of religion, I'll have no emotional need to go back.
Guest Rammknot
Vital Remains - Dechristianize (kinda specific...) The most powerful part of the song: He raped...the culture of mankind He raped...the pride of the ancient ways He raped...all thought of freewill I who will watch you fall into obscurity Washing away all filth of righteousness The dimming of the light Engulfing the fucking trinity Dechristianize...Dechristianize...Dechristianize...Dechristianize... Hell's grim tyrant...the eldest of night and chaos Breathe once again...far from the shadow of god This day of reckoning will be unavenged Glory of wrathful inignation I deny god and all religion Turn up the whites of their eyes... Gary Thompson
Iron Maiden - For The Greater Good of God Pretty awesome song. Here are the lyrics: Are you a man of peace Or a man of holy war Too many sides to you Don’t know which anymore So many full of life But also filled with pain Don’t know just how many Will live to breathe again A life that’s made to breathe Destruction or defense A mind that’s vain corruption Bad or good intent A wolf in sheep’s clothing Or saintly or sinner Or some that would believe A holy war winner They fire off many shots And many parting blows Their actions beyond a reasoning Only God would know And as he lies in heaven Or it could be in hell I feel he’s somewhere here Or looking from below But I don’t know, I don’t know Please tell me now what life is Please tell me now what love is Well tell me now what war is Again tell me what life is More pain and misery in the history of mankind Sometimes it seems more like The blind leading the blind It brings upon us more famine, death and war You know religion has a lot to answer for Please tell me now what life is Please tell me now what love is Well tell me now what war is Again tell me what life is And as they search to find the bodies in the sand They find its ashes that are Scattered across the land And as the spirits seem to whistle on the wind A shot is fired somewhere another war begins And all because of it you’d think That we would learn But still the body count the city fires burn Somewhere there's someone dying In a foreign land Meanwhile the world is crying stupidity of man Tell me why, tell me why
Gary Thompson
Also (for those who are into Thrash Metal, Hard Rock etc.) try some of Megadeth's older stuff. Peace Sells Holy Wars Neither of the songs are THAT great but the lyrics make a point.
Toxic
The The - The Violence of Truth What is Evil? What is Love? What is the force that possesess us? Where is beauty? Where is the truth? Where is the force that watches over you? What is it that makes us ashamed to be white? (when we close our ears to the sound of a machine gun) And while the niggers of this world are starving with their mouths wide open! What is it that turns the coins we throw at them into worthless little tokens? Why is it, that anything on this Earth that we do not understand, We are pushed onto our knees to worship or to damn? THOSE ARE THE RULES OF RELIGION THOSE ARE THE LAWS OF THE LAND That's how the forces of darkness have surpressed the spirit of man. That's why human beings still walk on all fours, whilst in the presence of their so called...'superiors'! Something's telling you, to wake up and salute. The dangers of obedience and the violence of Truth! GOD is Evil! GOD is Love! GOD is the force that possesses us! GOD is beauty! GOD is Truth! GOD is the force that is watching over you! Kuroikaze
Any one ever listen to bright eyes? they make fun of Christianity in a lot of songs lyrics for "Arc of Time" You can make a plan Carve it into stone Like a feather falling That is still unknown Until the clock speaks up Says it’s time to go You can choose the high Or the lower road You might clench your fist You might fork your tongue As you curse or praise All the things you’ve done And the faders move And the music dies As we pass over On the arc of time So you’ll nurse your love like a wounded dove in the covered cage of night Every star is crossed by phrenetic thoughts they separate and then collide and they twist like sheets ‘til you fall asleep and they finally unwind it’s a black balloon, it’s a dream you’ll soon deny I hear if you make friends With Jesus Christ You’ll get right up From that chalk outline And then you'll get dolled up And you'll dress in white All to take your place In his chorus line And then in you’ll come With those marching drums In a saintly compromise No more whiskey slurs No more blonde hair girls For your whole eternal life And you’ll do the dance That was choreographed At the very dawn of time Singing “I told you son, The day would come, You would die, you die, you die, you die…” To the deepest part Of the human heart The fear of death expands ‘til we crack the code, we’ve always known But could never understand On a circuit board We’ll soon be born Again, again, again, again…
DarthOkkata
Music is a large part of my life. When I was a "believer" I was involved in the church (and associated Christian school) band and choir and have always had an ear for music. I am still very keen of music and have found plenty of music that encourages me in my religious and political convictions. Some music that I will post links to may be more politically motivated than anti-religiously motivated but that's due to my assumption that the majority of ex-Christians are more socially liberal than Christians ("One nation under God" for example). Feedback would be great. NoFX -- "You're Wrong" Pink Floyd - The Wall Just about anything by Black Sabath. AC/DC Rocks ass. Hell's Bells, Highway to Hell. Manson Anti-christ Superstar, Personal Jesus. Rob Zombie We like to Rock! It pleases Crom.
