Amethyst
I joined my local humanist group, Humanists of MN. It's a big step for me. I am looking forward to meeting like-minded people IRL. I have a couple of friends who are ex-Christian and atheists/agnostics, but just a couple. I think it'll be good for me to go to social events and meet people. The only other thing I do socially is Starfleet (a Star Trek fan club) that meets once a month, and the occasional writers' group.
bluewizard
Great news, there's no humanist groups here in rural Northwestern Tennessee though, I have a few friends from college that have liberal religious ideologies, 3 believe in God and not religion and live life like non-theists and the other is an agnostic.
