mulls
From what I've heard, the tendency for Christians is to do the hit-and-run thing here. I haven't been posting much lately, but I still do visit the forum, almost daily, and read. There hasn't been any topics I've been interested in weighing in on, but I am still enjoying reading up on people's lives and experiences they've had pre- and post deconversion. mulls
I'm thinking that life is hard and people suck and are selfish, and have used Christianity for their own gain and have caused much pain for other people. I'm thinking that I'm still a believer. I'm thinking that I would really like to meet an "ex-" in real life and talk for hours and hours and hours, politely and truthfully. R. S. Martin
Mulls, what kind of stuff would you want to talk about? And why?
godlessgrrl
Well... glad to see you've stuck around. Looks like you've got more cojones than most of the believers who post and run. I hope you find some good conversation here.

mulls
Kudos for not running away screaming "heritc, blasphemer, devil woshipers". hahaha, no, that's what I screamed running into this place, but it didn't have much effect Mulls, what kind of stuff would you want to talk about? And why? Life. Being able to pick someone's brain on a regular basis, face to face, would be really cool.

Curtdude
Kudos for not running away screaming "heritc, blasphemer, devil woshipers". hehehehe...I resemble that remark. Add "liberal libertine elite" to that List of Honnor, Vixen. Well, I'm rather surprised you've stuck around, too, mulls-baby. We DO provide some spicy tit-for-tat and commentary. I've read some pretty bitchin' cool rants on this site, along with good, logical insights regarding ideas that I knew were correct, but I had never been able to put down my thoughts logically and rationally. I find many of the observations on life and life after religion fascinating. And there's always some wacko TrueBeliever who reminds me why I'm no longer in the TrueBelievingChurch. Ouroboros
Life. Being able to pick someone's brain on a regular basis, face to face, would be really cool. Do you mean literally or figuratively? I hope the latter rather than the first, or it would be really scary to get a "dinner" invitation from you...

Can we get together for a coffee sometime? I would enjoy having my brain picked, esp. on why I believe as I do. You seem like a decent person with whom one might be able to reason. Ramen666
Mulls I got a question for you, you mention how Christians can be ass's , abuse Christianity and the Bible and that is so true how this religion has been a brainwashing tool for power and control. That is true, I am not arguing there. HOWEVER....you missed a vary important point What do you think about the God character? Do you feel he really gives a damn what happens to me,you or anyone for that matter? How can a God be loving but throw people in hell for being born in a wrong country, using logic, sinning for just looking at porn....? How do you feel about that? I know how you feel about Christians but how do you feel about the God they worship? I will refresh your memory for just some verses that are direct orders from the lawd: How can anyone worship something like that? It is like Nazism and God is Hitler. Kill People Who Don't Listen to Priests Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel. (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT) Kill Nonbelievers 1. They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB) 2. Suppose a man or woman among you, in one of your towns that the LORD your God is giving you, has done evil in the sight of the LORD your God and has violated the covenant by serving other gods or by worshiping the sun, the moon, or any of the forces of heaven, which I have strictly forbidden. When you hear about it, investigate the matter thoroughly. If it is true that this detestable thing has been done in Israel, then that man or woman must be taken to the gates of the town and stoned to death. (Deuteronomy 17:2-5 NLT) Kill Men, Women, and Children "Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, "Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin your task right here at the Temple." So they began by killing the seventy leaders. "Defile the Temple!" the LORD commanded. "Fill its courtyards with the bodies of those you kill! Go!" So they went throughout the city and did as they were told." (Ezekiel 9:5-7 NLT) That last one gets me well there is plenty more how is this God creature fit to worship WHEN HE ORDERS KILLINGS of anything in his way that is not even couting how to go to hell. Cheers Have fun responding and this is meant to make you think don't jump to conclusions here is more info on www.evilbible.com for more information of all the lies, murders, rape, slavery that God ok'd. Take time and look at that site all it is a breakdown of verses in the Bible there is some commentary on the webiste but mostly is straight out verses. That site made me think and I am here today, have fun be wary you will get angry at Christianity, Gawd, and the Bible but this is good for you since you appear open minded. mulls
Mulls you told me on another thread that you are not pretending anything. QUESTION: If you are for real then why don't you answer these questions that Ramen lists? I actually printed them out a few days ago, I want to sit down and try to do a good job with them. Haven't had the time at all lately, but I am planning on responding.
