Eternal Reward?

I woke up this morning thinking about the "eternal" reward of heaven and I remembered something that I had often thought as a Christian. If Satan could up and decide to betray God (and take a third of the angels with him!), then what's to prevent us from deciding that we want to do the same thing? After all, we do have an eternity to live out. It would seem to me that at some point during eternity each one of us would get fed up with the constant praise and worship and decide to start our own faction, just like good ol' Lucifer did, at which point we would be cast into hell. The "eternal reward" of heaven is a complete myth. The only reality that Christianity should be able to preach is the eternal punishment of hell, because we're all going to end up there if it's true.
