I'll agree that it's a good show, but Star Trek (all of the various series included) was by far the best TV show of the 20th Century - hands down, no comparison! Glory! Growing up in a fundamental Baptist family, ST:TNG and Gunsmoke were two of the only secular shows we were allowed to watch. I can't watch either now without feeling the bile rise. Vigile Posted July 20, 2007 Share Posted July 20, 2007 I'm with you FF. Once I got a time out and had to sit on the couch for an hour as my friends played outside. The only thing on TV was soaps and Star Trek (waaaaaay before cable tv existed). I settled on ST as the lessor of two evils, but to this day I remember that as the longest hour of my life.
