pandora
Wow... that was rather scary. I was unaware that even moderate and liberal politicians were uniting in government (although on a much smaller scale) under the name of religion. "The Family." It sounds like a cult.... obviously a cult of power and influence endorsed by the evangelical God.
Fweethawt
I wonder if it isn't just something that she is connecting herself with in order to apply the influence toward the opposing group to gain favor for herself at some point in the future? pitchu
I'm definitely not a Hillary fan either, Kev, but before reading this article I'd decided that if she got the nomination I'd have to vote for her over any Republican (since they're stood by and encouraged Bush to use our country as his personal toilet for seven years), but now I don't see any way I can. Maybe I don't vote for president this election. Sad.

Fwee, she (and Bill -- they taught each other well) has mastered the art of jettisoning deeply-held principles for short-term pragmatic pay-offs. But this is just too much for me. Taphophilia
I read her book. Yes, She and Bill are both Christians. Their Methodist. She talks about the Bible studies and the prayer groups she had with Republicans in the White House when Bill was president. In her book, she said her faith in Jesus sustained her through the hardshps she's faced.

These people are the bi-partisan rising monster-head of evangelical hegemony.

It's your turn to grab the dictionary, Pitchu.

pitchu
So, Fwee, I've just spent these last minutes googling "give them a bitch she'll take you to bile" and I quote below from the most promising of possible referents for your stupid phrase. From here: http://www.jennycrusie.com/essays/greenisnotyourcolor.php First, it makes you look like a jealous bitch, and people will remember that moment and brand you with it. <snip> If your head is full of green bile, there's not much room for great stories, and those that are in there already will get cramped and stained and damp and smelly. And if that happens, you have no one to blame but yourself. I told you to go look in the mirror and say those things you were thinking so you could see them crawl out of your mouth like toads and newts. Oh! I just re-read it! Sorry, Fwee. Of course, it makes perfect sense in the context of this thread! Not.
Fweethawt
You actually googled that phrase? Hell, I just made it up... My dictionaries show 'bile' as being a reference to anger and depression. (bitch = hillary -- bile = anger/depression) Voter her in, and what do ya get? I thought the phrase fit rather nicely. Never mind. I'm tired.
