trashy
OK, so in Matt. 5:43-45 Jesus is quoted as saying "43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." But in the Old Testament when Joshua is about to raze Jericho to the ground and kill every man, woman, child and beast, Jesus appears to him (see Christophany) and gives an odd cameo appearance, just long enough to get some worship from Joshua. But by his silence, and by the fact that in the next chapter, after the slaughter, it says "So the Lord was with Joshua," there is obvious approval. So which is it, Jesus? Love your enemies, or slaughter them?

Mythra
Even within the gospel stories, there are no passages where we see Jesus blessing his enemies. Or praying for them. He's too busy calling them whitewashed tombs and sons of the devil.
