I love the really smart people here. I love that we have a common cultural language that comes from shared experience. But lately you people have been giving me horrible flashbacks. I can honestly say I have not thought about the Rapture in 20 years and then someone posted a reference to "A Thief in the Night"! OMG, I'm sure that my subconscious had purposely blotted that experience from memory. And now it's BACK! Aaaahhhh. And the other day someone mentioned Nicky Cruz! Another person who was really fundamental in keeping me on the "straight and narrow" in my youth. All these repressed memories are flooding back... make it stop! Very emotional things, left inside, just have this tendency to fester and eventually explode, often with really lousy results (or at least at the time lousy results). Unfortunately, I can't make it stop. Well, I may be able to stem the tide...I suggest looking up baby penguins on Google's Image Search. Trust me, you'll feel better.
