Interview: Matthew Chapman is a writer, director, film producer and the great great grandson of Charles Darwin. His book Trials of the Monkey: An Accidental Memoir tells of his experiences in Dayton, Tenn., where the famous "Scopes Monkey Trial" took place in 1925. Chapman's second book, 40 Days & 40 Nights is about his experience covering the 2005 Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School Districttrial regarding the teaching of "intelligent design" in the publicschool classroom. HNN's Duncan Crary interviews Chapman by phone.
