PandaPirate
The more research I do into Astrotheology, the more I'm coming to see the Bible as an ancient text of something more "occult" and ACTUALLY a book that the general person is not supposed to understand. I am coming to believe that it was written as a purely symbolic book that was meant to teach life lessons in a less indirect way and in a completely different way than it is being used and interpreted. Obviously, most of us were taught to take it literally, and that's when all hell broke loose. A lot of people display an enormous amount of anger at the Bible, but I'm finding that the rabbit hole goes a lot deeper than I ever could have imagined when it comes to this book. I am a beginning astrology student and have come across some sites that confirm my theory that it's a occult, astrological textbook not meant to be interpreted literally. I know, I know...this sounds crazy...but, if you're interested, check out these websites. 1oddmanout
E.W. Bullinger had a interesting book along this line, written in the early 1900s. He put a condensed version in the Appendixes of The Companion Bible, link below: http://levendwater.org/companion/append12.html

The whole birth of jeebus story is actually a practice in astrology.... DOH!
Deva
I am a beginning astrology student and have come across some sites that confirm my theory that it's a occult, astrological textbook not meant to be interpreted literally. I know, I know...this sounds crazy... It doesn't sound crazy to me. I put the Bible aside a number of years ago, and took up a study of astrology. There is a lot of symbolism in the Bible (meaning of some symbols being lost) and it seems to me that throughout centuries of Christian history astrology and Christianity were compatable. Were there not astrological symbols carved into some cathedrals? It was part of medieval science. I wonder when it became the case that it started to be condemned? After the Renaissance? Maybe someone more knowledgable than myself could expand upon this. Anyway, Panda, glad that we share this interest.
