Guest Myers
I suppose an introduction is in order. My name is Myers, and I come here on business. My friend is conducting a psychology experiment on the effects of religious views on various peoples. She asked me to help. If you wish to know, I was a former Christian (Baptist) and converted to Atheism when I was six for personal reasons and a disagreement with the Scripture. I was and still am ridiculed by my friends and family for my beliefs. It has left me with much resentment for my former faith, so I apologize if I seem to show contempt for Christianity. If you would like to know more about myself and/or the project, feel free to ask.

You need to ask some specific questions, or posit some statements for comment from the membership here. If you're interested in that kind of dialogue in the "testimonies" division of our site, go ahead. Otherwise, consider posting your issues in places like the Lions Den, or elsewhere, wherever you think it belongs. We are ex-christians, and we can be a resource for you if that is where you think you belong. You decide, and come on board accordingly. We are here for you, if you believe you belong with us. I'm already impressed that a six year old kid could "convert" to Atheism and have personal reasons and Scriptural disagreements. I'll be happy to watch you conduct your "business." alpha centauri
Hello Myers, and welcome! I look forward to reading your posts! It was actually a thorough study of the bible that led me to reject christianity. Less than a year ago, I was strongly rooted in evangelical christianity, sang in the choir and wrote christian sermons and songs. But a detailed study of the bible led to troubled uncertainty, stronger doubts, disillusionment and finally, full blown apostasy. I now fully reject the lies of christianity. Glad you found this website. I hope you get some interesting responses. All the best, Alpha Centauri
