I was in love with a girl whom I have met during my univeristy studies in HK......

We were once in a very sweet relationship and we simply could not imagine losing each other...

But one day early this year she was approached by a preacher wandering around the college campus....and that event changed the fate of we two.....

She told me that holding the Christians belief will definitely NOT dampen our relationship (she said it will only makes her love me more), and she promised that she certainly would NOT force me to believe in Christianity, and she would NOT leave me under any circumstances.......

But her faith in Christiaity is simply too strong ,yet blind......in just a few months....our relationship turned sour....she criticized me for not believing in Chrisitianity, citing the so-called evidence from the book written by "Evidence that demands a veridict" by McDowell as a case for Christianity being authentic......, and immediately after we met a pastor of a church, her attitudes towards me changed very significantly and she finally broke with me due to the immense difference in values.......

And I have been depressed for the whole summer.....and even now....

That's sad, especially considering how Mcdowell is a liar who uses circular reasoning on a regular basis.

Welcome.

Sorry to hear that two more lives were ruined by the cult of Christianity.

Anyway, welcome, and feel free to let off some steam here. We understand.

From someone who has suffered the cruelest heartbreak to another, you have my empathy.

Welcome AC.

I'm so sorry to hear that you lost something so precious to you.

As seen, yet again, christianity ( religion in general), is great at destroying once wonderful relationships/lives.

This is a great place to let out your frustrations. I hope you'll take advantage of it.

Wishing the best for you.

Be well,

Hineni

Oh, wow.

A similar thing happened to me a number of years ago, where the man I loved deeply at the time reviled and rejected me for not being Christian enough.

So I hear you. And I'm so, so sorry that religion interfered with your love for one another the way that it did. I'm so, so sorry that your ex couldn't get around her newly found faith to remember what a wonderful thing she had with a loving partner.

It's going to hurt for awhile. Hang in there and keep breathing though. And take very good care of yourself.
